The Forbidden Islands

In the very middle of the Jade Sea lies a rather large series of islands simply known as the "Forbidden Islands". In the direct center of the Jade Sea, not many humans have made their home here, or even explored it. The islands are covered in a dense jungle, and a volcano in the middle of them all. This volcano is active, and usually is behind the warm showers that blanket the Chanxji continent.
The volcano itself is one of Gaia's largest. Folklore tells that this volcano was the reason behind the Jade Sea. As in prehistory it erupted in such a violence that a massive magma chamber had collapsed, and caused the sea to form. This is only a rumor and urban legend however.
The Primary reason, of why it's secluded and branded Forbidden, is due to the existence of an Ancient Elder Dragon calling the islands it's home. These dragons are usually revered as gods, and often can rival a god in power. On the island, does exist a ruined settlement, but it is now covered in ash and mudslides.
The closer one gets to the volcano, the more sulfuric the water gets and the warmer it gets. It gets too warm and sulfuric to where no life can exist without some unexplained feature.

Geography

The Regions around the volcano are a greenish hue. The sky looms with ash, and a green hue from the water and it's sulfuric content. The shores around the islands themselves are warm and attact many fish, However, the immediate  area around the Volcano, known as Fushama, is inhospitable.
The islands are covered in dense jungle trees, and mangroves that in some areas, extend miles out from the island. With the Volcano constantly spewing Ash the entire area looks omnious. Only a few months does the ash clear for the sun to bless the fauna of the islands.
