"Though Gaia is vast in lands, mortals will always fight one another, we will always be driven forward towards the future we seek, thus is the way of living. To stop is a meaningless life and death"

  • King Leo Ashrun
  • History of Gaia's Landscape     It was said in the beginning that Gaia had only one massive island. But after a large anomaly, the north and south parts of the land were hit by a super-charged lightning storm and split due to the land's nickel, cobalt and other alloys now being charged. The tectonic plates of the land began to separate because of the opposite chargers. The single land was divided into the Northern domain and the Southern domain.       Gaia was flush with thick vegetation and filled with metals. As mortals evolved, they began to harvest resources heavily, thus changing Gaia's landscapes. Near the equator on the west side is where most human and elf civilizations settled, due to the rich resources, fresh drinking water, wood and metals. The mortals chopped most of the land's forests down except for a select few areas, knowing they themselves also need the forests.   In the east is where the more resilient races lived. Orcs settled in the eastern grasslands, with what little tree's were there the orc's cleared it thoroughly as time went by, leaving this part of the land a grassland, wood was the orcs main and almost only source for their building. The dwarfs took up homage in the mountainous regions in the north-east, and the dragonborn found themselves on an island more secluded in nature. Due to the extreme angle of Gaia's northern hemisphere away from the sun, the tempuratures drop dramaically heading north, making the northern hemisphere predominantly cold, dark and snowy lands.
