Eastern Wildlands

To think such splendor awaited beyond the forsaken wastes, a land of beauty and wonder beyond any found in the Heartlands - Elven exile

The Eastern Wildlands are the eastern regions of the Orenian continent.   Ancestral home of the wyverns, the eastern lands are a lush and vibrant paradise teeming with dangers. Untouched until the wyverns took the exiled elves under their wing, the first of humanity would brave the harsh lands and take command of their new home. Its lands have since been tamed by the will of humanity but many dangers continue to lurk amongst its trees and within the sand ocean at its heart, forging many mighty adventurers.

Nations and Factions

  • Melloriah - Born from the scraps of exiles, humanity came to be under the harsh guidance of the wyverns. Often the enemy of many, humanity is currently rebuilding from civil war.
  • Guild Alliance - Once a mere gathering of artisans, now a vast conglomerate of guilds. Their combined power vast, some have sought to claim new lands beyond the northern seas.
  • Goldtooth Tribe - Ancient tribe of kobolds loyal to the wyverns but have lost themselves to greed, many neglecting their duties of old for the sake of gathering treasure.
  • House Salamoore - Mighty bloodline of the Wyvern King that stands to this day, fallen from grace in ages past but maintains a strong grasp on Melloriah through sheer influence.
  • Warden's Quill - Advocators of half elven liberty, always seeking to improve the well being of their kind. While their efforts do pay off, matters tend to eventually get worse.
  • Order of the Fallen Star - Historians and explorers seeking the knowledge and riches of the past. Ever on the hunt for draconic ruins, many join to merely gain wealth and treasure.
  • Phantom Knights - Large group of pirates known for striking in the dead of night, their members and vessels made to resemble ghastly monstrosities of ancient battles past.
  • Golden Spire - Vast guild of mainly goblin merchants, widely known for their dominance of various markets. While often associated with the underworld, its leaders expertly avoid the law.
  • Silvermoon Fangs - Sand pirates lead by the silith, prowling the Golden Sea day and night. A common bane for travelers, they've been known to offer their services as hunters.
  • Scalebreakers - Mighty band of expert monster slayers, their expertise focused on draconic creatures. Noble yet arrogant, they often come into conflicts for their opposition to the Draconic Lords.

Major Settlements

  • Golveriah - The diamond city of the Golden Sea and proud heart and seat of power for humanity.
  • Delhomir - Fortress city bordering the north, ever vigilant of the war games of Mak Thul.
  • Gelongohr - Ancient city of the wyverns where only the chosen few are allowed to enter.
  • Ashaal - Heart of worship for Melloriah and grand shrine to the wyverns and Ashnard.
  • Fort Valor - Center of adventure in Melloriah, often bustling with ambitious souls.
  • Bloodstone Hold - Castle town often housing soldiers in training against the local beasts.
  • Caidhora - Vibrant hub for traders and adventurers bordering the Fanged Forest.
  • Harkhor - Massive port town of the south and home to the majority of the Mellorian navy.
  • Rhen's Haven - Pirate fortress hidden away by powerful magic and mystic pathways.

Notable Locations

  • Firewatch Beacon - Grand tower in the far northeast, often used for planar research and port for sailors and scholars studying the seas of Gailardia.
  • Golden Sea - A vast desert at the heart of Melloriah, its reaches both dangerous and beautiful as the winds blow across the shimmering sands.
  • Bloodmoon Bay - At day a lush paradise, at night a cursed land as the moon's reflection becomes an orb of blood within the waters of the Blazing Seas.
  • King's Cradle - Holy land for humans and wyverns alike, this island sits in the eastern waters and houses Ashir'Gol, the cradle of the Golden King himself.
  • Haven Isle - Tranquil oasis known for its finest comforts, deemed one of the best places to relax, provided you have the funds to gain access to its wonders.
  • Sunstone Spires - Region of colossal mesas barring passage to the Golden Sea, its caverns often bearing vast quantities of crystals and other minerals.
  • Fanged Forest - Dense woodlands home to many venomous creatures and wicked souls savoring in the peace gained from a forest of fear.
  • Everlasting Crater - Large crater said to have been formed by divine fury, fires constantly burning within which have never been quenched.
