Paladin Alinkri

Safeguard's greatest enemy, the legend of Alinkri strikes fear into the hearts of all who know it and hopelessness in all who face her. Her apocalyptic philosophy and warped tenacity have brought countless would-be heroes to the brink of insanity and the death of countless innocent people.   Chilles Palmoran Alinkri was born a drow noble long ago. Her love of the city and its people lead her to endeavor to improve it for future generations. She was even willing to sacrifice her own comfort for that of others. A betrayal by her own mother and the subsequent sacking of her home shattered that faith she once had. With her heart broken both physically and in the emotional sense, a being offered her salvation. This being, the Fey Lord Aututech, showed Alinkri a truth that pulled her into the darkness. Alinkri saw the world for the rotting corpse it was. For a good future to come about, the sickly past must die.    Alinkri met with and temporarily allied with the Oxymoronic Heroes, some of whom began to enjoy her presence. Though she was philosophically opposed to their mission, she showed them no ill will. Eventually though, there came a time when Alinkri showed the Oxymoronic Heroes to what extent she believed in her doom-driven worldview, shattering an artifact required for the revival of the Lover Gods.    Though the Oxymoronic Heroes would succeed in their endeavors, Alinkri would not let up on her assaults upon the world. Under Aututech's guidance and with help from both members of the drow and Court of Autumn, Alinkri continued plotting ways to reset the world. Safeguard took up the mantle of the Oxymoronic Heroes in facing off against her, Tyra McClain showing the greatest fervor. Though Safeguard prevented each apocalypse she tried to wrought, it was always with great personal sacrifice. Alinkri was never taken into custody or slain. To this day, she continues her plotting and scheming.   Over the centuries, Alinkri has become more powerful as fear of her spreads across the world. Her deceptively content, leveled voice haunts the memories of every being that has seen their family taken from them by her ax.
"We all desire to live in eternal Spring and Summer, but eventually Autumn comes to make way for Winter. Eventually, all things must decay and make way for something new. To wish to life a life of eternal Summer and Spring is a desire most selfish."
The World's Rot The philosophy Aututech preaches to her followers is one of pessimism and doom. The underlying principle is that the current way the concept of life is formulated leads to suffering and unequal distribution of resources. Another part of it is the "inheritance of rot" which is the idea that the mistakes, misdeeds, and issues of the past have an indelible effect on the present and future. Every good thing eventually succumbs to this rot by the very nature of existence.    The solution to this problem is to wipe out all life, including its concept/facet. Eventually when the facet of life reforms, it has the chance to reform differently and in a way that prevents suffering and pain. Life will no longer be held back by the rot of the past, the hatred, the ignorance, the pride, the jealousy, the ambition. Through sacrifice, a future can be created in which no more sacrifices need to be made.

Stop with the Suicide Argument Throughout history, many public figures have argued that if Aututech and Alinkri truly believe that all things must die, then it is hypocritical of them not to start with themselves. The primary proponents of this notion are those that have little understanding of the philosophy itself, which speaks volumes on the selfishness of life. Though Aututech and Alinkri are prepared to die for what they perceive as the common good, they also understand that we see them for the insane kooks they are. They understand that we will not die for their beliefs, and so they must kill us instead.    Please, stop posting this on social media or presenting this "inspired" claim at dinner parties, as it assumes something completely contrary to the basic logic of the philosophy.
