Tyra McClain

One of the most legendary members of Safeguard, Tyra McClain is the woman who truly made Safeguard the globe-spanning organization they are today.
The child of Hale McClain and Vildore Arven, Safeguard members, Tyra grew up enthralled by their stories of faraway places, terrifying villains, and righteous heroes who always came to save the day. As Tyra grew up, she saw that Safeguard did not meet up to the expectations her father engendered in her. Safeguard only ever arrived after the disaster had already occurred. They saved the day after the volcano had already decimated the town, the famine already released, and the villain already victorious. Safeguard lent whatever help they could and righted many wrongs, but rarely did they stop those wrongs from occurring in the first place.
This failure Tyra saw inspired her to revolutionize the way Safeguard handled its ancient mission of helping the world. She instituted new methods of predicting disasters and transporting Safeguard Agents to respond to them. The first success they had with this system was the Oxymoronic Ode, where Safeguard was able to assist the Oxymoronic Heroes at the end of their quest to revive the Lover Gods. 
Tyra would Safeguard into a new era of success and live up to its name. The number of lives she has saved can not be counted. She did all she could to live up to the stories her mother and father told her when she was young, hoping that those stories would inspire others to live with hope in their hearts.

Greatest Enemy Tyra wanted to give hope to the world, a faith that though things sometimes went wrong they can be made right again. Even if this hope was sometimes unrealistic, it still mattered that people had faith in the future. Her arch-nemesis, Paladin Alrinkri, was the opposite. Alinkri believed no hope laid in the future and that thinking otherwise was selfish. Alinkri would grow to become a possibly world-endangering threat and Tyra the one to save it. They were rivals made for one another. Tyra despised the pain and suffering Alinkri inflicted and Alinkri made it worse by having no ill will towards Tyra.
