Ascension of the Old Gods
Summary
The "Ascension of the Gods" legend refers to a long stretch of time during the Age of Evolution, when the six demigod children of Auvori & Denothis used the Gaiostones to individually ascend their mortality and become the High Gods of Gaion. Each of their ascensions played a significant role in the history of their respective humanoid races.
- Gar'gomaut, High God of the Land & Giants (son of Denothis) 3,500 BDV - merged directly with the Garonis Gaiostone and used its power to bring the continent of Esgaron to the surface
- Akana, High Goddess of the Sea & Seafolk (daughter of Aurovi) 3,400 BDV - used the Blauri Gaiostone to ???
- Cyr, High Goddess of the Moon & Cyregnorian Elves (daughter of Denothis) 2,900 BDV - used the Daidrin Gaiostone to halt the planet & moon's rotation, literally creating an endless night
- Dahli, High Goddess of the Sun & Dalterran Elves (daughter of Aurovi) 2,870 BDV - used the Goultani Gaiostone to draw the power of the Sun back to Gaion, breaking Cyr's hold on the planet
- Thatos, High God of Chaos & Orcs (son of Denothis) 2,200 BDV - channeled the Rouzhai Gaiostone's raw power after digging it out from miles of volcanic rock and magma. Used it to lead the orcs & goblinoids against the giants and dragons that fought over their territory
- Hytheron, High God of the Sky & Humans (son of Aurovi) 2,100 BDV - used the Goultani Gaiostone to lead humanity in rebellion against the dragons that ruled Hythenos
