Biography

Pre-Ascension

Unlike the other Ascension Gods, Dahli ascended prior to the Gigadragonomy during the climax of the Sun & Moon Wars. Dahli was born as the first demigod child of Aurovi to an elven mother; later than Neviros, but at least a few decades/a century before the Endless Night.

The Endless Night (Neviros' Ascension)

The Endless Night was a cosmic phenomenon created by Neviros, the first demigod child of Denothis, as his act of ascension. Neviros had a natural affinity for darkness due to his patronage, gathering many elven followers on the continent that would eventually be known as Dalterra through a combination of divine charisma and merciless conquest. The more his following grew, the stronger his divine power became. Eventually, visions from his father led him to the North Pole, where the Daidrin Gaiostone had crashed millennia ago during the Gaioforce Extinction. Neviros led the majority of his people by an ancient land bridge to settle on the arctic continent bearing the North Pole, leaving the rest to wander nocturnally between their Dalterran civilizations as partial nomads. Their nocturnal nature & the darker environment of the ancient north led to the first Moon Elves, the first subspecies to branch off the First Elves. Neviros established a settlement around the North Pole to research the Gaiostone’s effects on the land, which imbued him and his people with the purest form of the Daidrin Gaioforce.
Through his research, Neviros (correctly) believed that the impact of the Daidrin Gaiostone in ancient times permanently shifted and shaped the gravitational axis of Gaion. He also grew to master the Daidrin Gaioforce over the years and speculated that if the Daidrin Gaiostone could shape the gravitational axis, it could potentially control its rotations & revolutions as well. With more visions from his deific father, Neviros understood what must be done. Having amassed enough Gaioforce power & divine faith from his followers, Neviros led an expedition into the treacherous blizzard, gravitational forces & icy caverns at the magnetic North Pole. All of his companions either died from these conditions or were corrupted into undead beings by the negative energy deep within the caves, but Neviros held strong despite the resistance. Finally, in the deepest pit of the North Pole, Neviros found the Daidrin Gaiostone itself, permeating its power into the continent through icy veins and radiating darkness. Neviros enforced his magical dominion over the stone and survived the immense strain of its power, becoming the first “mortal” being to wield a Gaiostone. He used its power to summon a gravitational force from the cave that was so immense, it forced all of the ice & land above it into a cluster of mountains above the magnetic North Pole, later named The Naervithone Mountains (Elven phrase for Thrones of Neviros). With his followers as his witnesses, Neviros divinely rose above the mountains as the blizzard’s eye formed around him and the Daidrin Gaiostone followed. Channeling more of its power than any Daidrin Gaioforce user in history (up to and beyond this point), Neviros used the Storm and the existing axis to spread his domination across the entire planet, stopping the moon’s rotation and the earth’s revolution in an indefinite winter to create The Endless Night. This act, combine with the faith of his followers & his divine blood, caused his ascension to godhood, becoming “Neviros the Midnight King”. Upon this ascension, his Moon Elves spread across Cyregnor while the nomads remaining on Dalterra began their conquest of the elves that lived there.

The Sun & Moon Wars

Dahli had begun exploring her connection to the Gaioforce and her divine power, as the Goultani Gaiostone rests deep within a crater covered in a vibrant forest that always glows & teemed with diverse life; in ancient times, this was referred to as Sanhiborae (elven for Jungle of Light). Before the Endless Night, this area was always touched by the sun even when it rained, but it still glowed all throughout this time period. Inspired by visions of the Gaiostone from her father and her growing Goultani mastery, Dahli led an expedition of her own divine following in rebellion against the Moon Elves, losing many in the war but fighting off enough of them to reach the Jungle of Life, which provided its own form of defense against the Moon Elf invaders. While the Moon Elves hacked away at the outside, Dahli & her followers navigated their way through the dense forest by connecting with the powerful creatures of the area, which were enhanced by the stone’s power. When this empathetic connection proved insufficent, Dahli proved divinely formidable in slaying them. She finally made her way to the heart of the forest and dug deep within the living underbrush & living vine caverns to reach the infinite energy source, following the brightening light while her faithful followers defended her entry point from the Moon Elves that had made it to them. By the time she reached the stone, her followers had given their lives in service to her cause, believing it was for the good of all elven kind. Channeling her divine will and Goultani mastery, Dahli grabbed the Gaiostone with her bare hands and withstood its power long enough to blast all the breaching Moon Elves out of her way. She then uses the vines, trees & magical bulbs of the living tunnels to craft an organic spear around the Goultani Gaiostone, becoming the second “mortal” being to wield a Gaiostone. She then flew out of the forest and slaughtered the Moon Elves still hacking their way into it, sparing no one.
With her rising divine power in demigod form & the Staff of Sanhiborae, Dahli brutally took back all of the elven territories taken over by Moon Elves. The subjugated First Elves viewed her acts as divine and referred to her battles as “bringing back the sun”. As a result, these liberated elves either followed her with undying faith into battle or used their faith in her to rebuild/form new woodland societies. Those that fought beside her became the first Sun Elves (the second elven subrace to split off from the First Elves), while those who took her blessings as a second chance at life became the first Wood Elves (the third elven subrace to split off from the First Elves). For the Sun Elves, Dahli enforced a strict policy of taking no prisoners in battles with the Moon Elves, which effectively started the Moon Elf Genocide. Within a short few years, she completely took back Dalterra by destroying all Moon Elf societies within, leaving nothing but ruins to eventually build new cities from. The Moon Elf survivors that escaped this genocide did so by retaking their nomadic roots, either traveling in small groups to keep out of sight or by retreating underground (creating the first Dark Elves, the fourth subrace of elf and the first branch off from Moon Elves).
Dahli led her Sun Elf army through the land bridge to Cyregnor, slaughtering any Moon Elves they found along the way. With her leading the charge, she drove a bloody path through the arctic tundra straight to the Naervithone Mountains, keeping her troops alive and warmed with the light & energy of the Gaiostone. Her army waged war against the North Pole city that Neviros settled long ago, which had become a fortress and stronghold capital of his Midnight Empire. Meanwhile, Dahli flew straight to Neviros at the peak of his mountains and began the climactic duel of the Sun & Moon Wars. The battle was tough for her, as he held far more power and divinity at this point. However, the shaken faith (and living numbers) of Neviros’ followers and Dahli’s indominable willpower to bring life & light back to the world (along with the heightened faith of her followers) gave her enough of an edge to pierce Neviros’ chest with her staff. She channeled more power from the Goultani Gaiostone than any other Gaioforce user in history and destroyed Neviros with a massive detonation, keeping it in the sky to dissipate the blizzard & breaking the Daidrin Gaiostone’s hold over Gaion while sparing the lives of her Sun Elf troops. This event brought the sun back all over the world as the Endless Night dissipated from the shockwave, destroying the Spear of Sanhiborae and flinging the Goultani Gaiostone to crash into Hythenos. Meanwhile, the Daidrin Gaiostone flung into the atmosphere, but came crashing back down elsewhere in Cyregnor due to its gravitational powers. This act served as Dahli’s ascension, becoming “Dahli the Sunbringer”.

The Gigadragonomy

After Dahli’s ascension, Dahli ordered the Sun Elves on a “scenic route” back the the land bridge, destroying every Moon Elf society that they came across. Meanwhile, Dahli used her divine power to bring down devastating Solar flares onto the other Moon Elf societies across Cyregnor, leading the survivors to hide underground (Dark Elves) or live in small tribes to hide from the Sunbringer (Frost Elves). Eventually, after her troops left, Dahli destroyed the land bridge, permanently sealing the northern survivors to their arctic domain.
Dahli joined her father in the sky-based region of his realm, but ordered her people to continue the Moon Elf Genocide in Dalterra. This was effectively successful, killing all remaining Moon Elf nomads and driving survivors underground to become Dark Elves. Over time, Dahli became less interested in caring for her people and instead chose to enjoy her divine benefits, leading to a decline in her worship when the Gigadragonomy came. When it became clear to Auvori that she had essentially turned her back on life, he banished her back to the mortal plane until she could prove herself worthy of their love again. Severely weakened (but not quite mortal) Dahli had to reestablish her worship by liberating Dalterra from the Drake Oligarchy, which was completely successful amongst the Sun Elves and moderately successful amongst Wood Elves (the latter grew to worship nature & life itself, which eventually led to them & her eventual divine children among them to completely renounce her at the end of the Divine Wars). This abandonment and “burden” to care for her people led to resentment from Dahli, which led to her leaving Gaion at the end of the Divine Wars with her loyal (& useful) Sun Elf followers and beginning her conquest across the stars; she prefers to be feared rather than loved, attaining worship that way.

General/partial-to-non canon stuff

•After the ascension of the gods near the end of the Gigadragonomy, each deity was invited to their father’s realm of existence. They each claimed territory and domain over the prime sentence of sad territory, even meeting with them to create God children of their own [next stuff isn’t fully canon] •invades Hytheria towards the middle of the Perniam Wars •{at the end of the war (same time as when Viko kills Thatos) defeats & gravely wounds Hytheron, who uses all his power to summons a tornado around them charged with lightning, eventually summoning the largest lightning bolt the world has ever seen from its eye. Dahli charged sun fire into his chest with her Solar Bident, causing him to detonate as the lightning bolt struck her. This battle destroys both gods, but Dahli is able to regenerate in the sun for [insert number] years until she is back to full strength} not canon •Solar Bident: dwarf star metal for two prongs, Sun Diamond core and all the other prongs (visually representing a sun)     Updated Dahli Ascension   -Dahli uses the power of the Goultani Gaiostone to bring back the sun and defeat Nuviros -kills Nuviros and then proceeds to wipe out most of the moon elf population. Survivors evolve to become Frost Elves -while she ruled Dalterra, Dahli put up a magical barrier around her capital city defending it from outside harm and securing her empire -at the climax of the divine war when some of her children denounced her ways and rebelled against the solternian empire, Dahli raptured her most devout and effective followers to Hytheria and dropped the barrier on the city, abandoning the rest of the Sun Elves -using scraps from a wrecked alien starship that had crashed on several celestial mountains, Dahli created her own interstellar warship. Those she raptured became her newest angels, and along with the others, they all set off into the great unknown of space with Dahli as their leader.
