DD Chapter 13: Throne of Zalcophet
Beginning
"You must understand, Zalcophet has kept me imprisoned for so long. It takes all my strength to project my consciousness to you, so I hope this is worth it". The shadowy old elf man said to the undead couple, after recounting his tale of how Zalcophet the Frost Pharaoh betrayed and imprisoned him. "He has kept the Daidrin Gaiostone sealed away in my tomb and used its power to ensure my soul can never move on to the afterlife. I do not know how much more I can take before I am corrupted beyond repair. Please, come free me so I can finally rest in peace". Darkjaw is completely unmoved, but intrigued at the thought of claiming Zalcophet's undead throne through conquest. However, allowing souls to exist in peace is a driving force for Soyla's vision, so she reads his soul to discern the truth. Anticipating this, the old man (secretly Avernion the Shadow King) casts a deceptive curse through his shadow, alerting Zalcophet to a disturbance within the Daidrin Gaioforce but successfully tricking Solya into believing his lie. Solya expresses to Darkjaw that they must free this old man from his prison by killing Zalcophet. If the Frost Pharaoh truly has the Daidrin Gaiostone, this is their best chance of taking it. Darkjaw agrees to his beloved's plan, and they set sail across the dark tundra to the North Pole.Battle of Zalcovia
After a couple weeks of travel by Lamarva's Wrath (carried by the fine undead troops of Jaw Company), Darkjaw & Solya arrive a few miles south of Zalcovia, the capital ziggurat of Zalcophet's undead reign over polar Cyregnor. Their formiddable forces clash with the undead army defending Zalcovia, inciting a destructive battle of the dead. Many lives are traded in the day;- Captain Deadnok (Mammodon druid) is destroyed by the enemy. He is replaced by an Undead Frost Giant turned by Dr. Plaezus during the battle, but the Captain Deadnok title is retired as a symbol of the old army. Darkjaw claims the Forge Maul for himself, adding it to his arsenal of deadly weapons.
- Dr. Plaezus turns an undead Frost Dragon (young) and rides it as a mount.
- Darkjaw & Solya breach the ziggurat defenses through a mixture of unrelenting combat and undetectable stealth. The couple weaves through with grace and vicious harmony.
- Solya casts an impressive display of Call Lightning, enhanced by the Everstorm.
Combat: Darkjaw & Solya vs. Zalcophet
Initiative
- Darkjaw: 16, 0/104 HP, 4/4 1st, 2/3 2nd, 3/3 3rd, 2/2 4th
- Solya: 4, 4/4 1/78 HP, 1st, 2/3 2nd, 2/3 3rd, 2/3 4th, 2/2 5th, 1/1 6th, 1/1 7th, 1/1 8th
- Zalcophet: 18, 14/114 HP, 4/4 1st, 3/3 2nd, 3/3 3rd, 1/3 4th, 1/2 5th, 0/1 6th, 1/1 7th
Round 1
- Lair Action: Each undead in the lair has advantage on saving throws against effects that turn undead until initiative count 20 on the next round.
- Zalcophet: Stares at Darkjaw with his Dreadful Glare, who fails the save and is frightened for the first time in forever. Throws his Scepter of Zalcophet at the frightened wereranger, but he dodges in fear. Zalcophet calls the scepter back to his hand, satisfied with the seeds of doubt he planted wthin the warrior
- Darkjaw: Fires a regular arrow (with disadvantage because of fear) and crit fails; Zalcophet deflects it with his returning scepter, laughing at the idiotic arrow placement. Frustrated, Darkjaw fires an explosive arrow, dealing 11 piercing/5 fire (10 due to Zalcophet's vulnerability)/15 thunder (36 total) to a now angered Zalcophet. Darkjaw moves farther from the mummy lord. At the end of his turn, Zalcophet uses Whirlwind of Snow (2 Legendary Actions) to move behind Darkjaw, cutting off his move away from the room.
- Solya: Seeing his proximity to Darkjaw and remembering his reaction to the fire damage, Solya casts Flaming Sphere (2nd level) and attacks Zalcophet for 24 fire damage. Zalcophet burns in fury, attacking Darkjaw with a rotting fist (1 Legendary Action) for no damage, because Darkjaw ain't a bitch.
Round 2
- Lair Action: Until initiative count 20 on the next round, any non-undead creature that tries to cast a spell of 4th level or lower in the mummy lord’s lair is wracked with pain. The creature can choose another action, but if it tries to cast the spell, it must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 1d6 necrotic damage per level of the spell, and the spell has no effect and is wasted.
- Zalcophet: Regains his Legendary Actions. Allowing the moonlight to shine through his specialized ceiling, Zalcophet hovers to his throne and casts Moon Heal (4th level) to regain 22 HP. He positions himself as if he is about to do something.
- Darkjaw: Snaps out of the fear and fires two regular arrows while casting Ensnaring Strike (2nd level) to hold Zalcophet in place. However, the crafty mummy lord dodges both without looking, then uses his Snowcouphagus (3 Legendary Actions) to encase himself in ice upon his throne. Frustrated, Darkjaw moves closer and draws the Forge Maul.
- Solya: Still concentrating on the Flaming Sphere, Solya launches it into Zalcophet, who crit fails the save and is blasted for 5 fire damage, negating the vulnerability but destroying the snowcouphagus. She uses the same moon he had exposed to cast Moonbeam (3rd level), dealing 17 radiant damage in a cruel twist of irony.
Round 3
- Lair Action: Another effect that doesn't do shit because everyone in this room is undead.
- Zalcophet: Regains his Legendary Actions. Seeing Solya as the true enemy, Zalcophet casts Harm (6th level) on the necrodruid, who, against all odds, nat20s the Con save and resists the worst of the damage, taking 17 necrotic damage and worrying Zalcophet with her resistive prowess.
- Darkjaw: Transforms into a Werephant, closes the distance and smacks Zalcophet with a Forge Maul charge attack for 17 bludgeoning/9 cold/ (8 total; Zalcophet showcases his immunity to cold damage as the icy mist doesn't harm him, but heals him instead) and knocks him prone. Brings the hammer down on his prey for 18 bludgeoning/7 cold damage (11 total). Desperate to get away from him, Zalcophet taunts "I liked you better when you were afraid and shot arrows" and uses his Dreadful Glare (1 Legendary Action) on Darkjaw, who fails AGAIN (Zalcophet seems to be using Daidrin mind powers to really get into Darkjaw's head) and retroactively moves back 35 feet.
- Solya: Seeing Zalcophet's unnatural efect on her man, Solya points the Moonbeam at the mummy lord and blasts again. This time, Zalcophet resists and only takes 8 radiant damage. Annoyed, Solya drops Moonbeam, intending to finish the mummy lord with other magic. Zalcophet utters a Blasphemous Word (2 Legendary Actions) to stun both Solya & Darkjaw. Pleased, he plans his revenge on the two.
Round 4
- Lair Action: Another effect that doesn't do shit because everyone in this room is undead.
- Zalcophet: Regains his Legendary Actions. Zalcophet channels icy mist around Darkjaw & Nolya and casts Flash Freeze (5th level), dealing 29 cold damage to both Darkjaw & Nolya while freezing them solid. Zalcophet keeps them frozen, knowing they could kill him if they break out.
- Darkjaw: Breaks free of his icy prison, then remembers that his maul is healing Zalcophet. Instead, he puts it away as he transforms into his natural Lamarva Weredrake form. Zalcophet responds with a rotting fist (1 Legendary Action), critting for 18 bludgeoning/42 necrotic damage (60 total) to the impressed Weredrake. Darkjaw is also cursed with Mummy Rot; he can't heal and his hit point maximum decreases by 11 HP for every 24 hours that elapse. If the curse reduces the target's hit point maximum to 0, the target dies, and its body turns to dust. The curse lasts until removed by the remove curse spell or other magic.
- Solya: Crit fails her Strength check and does not break out of the Flash Freeze. Zalcophet takes delight and tosses his scepter at her, dealing 5 slashing/15 cold (20 total) and slowing her down by 10 ft.
Round 5 (things are looking dire, this could go either way)
- Lair Action: nothing
- Zalcophet: Lines himself up and casts Dark Lightning (4th level) on Darkjaw & Solya. Darkjaw evades while Solya takes it all, dealing 36 lightning to Solya (downing her while thawing/destroying the ice that encased her) and 18 to Darkjaw.
- Zalcophet alt action: Uses his Dreadful Glare on Darkjaw and succeeds AGAIN, leaving the warrior in fear. Calls the Scepter back and strikes at Darkjaw, determined to end the warlord once and for all. Deals 10 slahing/19 cold damage (29 total) and downs the werewarrior.
- Darkjaw: One Death Fail. Zalcophet impales Darkjaw with the scepter (1 Legendary Action) and kills Darkjaw (for the third time).
- Solya: One Death Success (rolling with advantage due to Darkjaw's soul recently entering the Ethereal Plane). Zalcophet tosses the scepter at Solya, dealing a hit and scoring her a Death Fail. Zalcophet: Seeing that he has won and admiring the undead beauty of Solya, Zalcophet decides to get grossly necrophilic and tries to have his way with Solya. This triggers a battle of wills; If Solya wins out, she will Soul Recall (7th level) Darkjaw's spirit into Zalcophet's undead body. If Zalcophet wins out, Solya will die and become his mummy bride.
Final Round: Battle of the Undead Minds
- Round 1: Zalcophet 16, Solya 17. Solya wins and does not submit sexually. She meets Zalcophet's spirt in deadlock, ready to fight on the fringes of the Ethereal Plane
- Round 2: Zalcophet 17 Persuasion & 21 Wis save, Solya 7 Persuasion & 22 Wis save. Neither overcomes the other in spiritual dominance.
- Round 3: Zalcophet 8 Persuasion & ?? Wis save, Solya 4 Persuasion & ?? Wis save. Neither overcomes the other in spiritual dominance.
- Round 4: Zalcophet 10 Persuasion & 27 Wis save, Solya 8 Persuasion & 31 Wis save. Neither overcomes the other in spiritual dominance. Sensing they are evenly matched in magical skill, they push their willpower to their maxes.
- Round 5: Zalcophet 28 Wis attack & 29 Wis save, Solya 28 Wis attack & 17 Wis save. Zalcophet overtakes Solya, straining the druid and putting her on the defensive.
- Round 6: Zalcophet 12 Cha attack, Solya 16 Cha save. Even mindfield is restored.
- Round 7: Zalcophet 7 Cha attack 15 Cha save, Solya 11 Cha attack 13 Cha save. Neither overcomes the other in spiritual dominance.
- Round 8: Zalcophet 12 Cha attack 17 Cha save, Solya 21 Cha attack 15 Cha save. Solya overtakes Zalcophet, straining the mummy and putting him on the defensive.
- Round 9: Zalcophet 16 Cha save, Solya 18 Wis attack. Solya begins to inject her own soul vines into Zalcophet's, wrapping around his undead spirit. Zalcophet struggles in an all-out battle of wills, desperately trying one last time to force the druid out.
- Round 10: Zalcophet 26 Wis save, Solya 20 Wis attack, but with the advantage of Darkjaw's presence right at her vine tips and soul, she bursts a 28 Wis attack and forces Darkjaw's spirit into Zalcophet's body, ejecting Zalcophet's undead soul from it and back to Zalcophet's heart.
The Heart of Zalcophet
Solya, back in her body, heals herself with Cure Wounds (4th level) for 23 points (now at 24/78 HP). She She promises to heal Darkjaw soon, but they first need to find the mummy's heart and expel Zalcophet to the Denowraiths so that Darkjaw can take on the mantle. Dr. Plaezus arrives and tells Solya they have won the day; Solya instructs him to set up all undead forces within the ziggurat to defend their new order. Using Darkjaw's tracking skills and Solya's command of the dead, they call scour the ziggurat with turned zombies carrying the old body of Darkjaw. They eventually find the hidden vaults within the deepest part of the ziggurat. They must deal with an undead Frost Dragon (adult) that guards the vault. With enough memory, Solya realizes that the mummy will be able to regenerate a new body around its heart in less than 24 hours, so they need to complete the ritual before then. Knowing that they cannot handle a dragon in their condition, the two decide to ready up for their final fight as best they can and short rest. Solya heals 7,5,7,6,5,6,7,5, 8 (56 total, fully healed, 9 hit dice used), then removes the heart from Darkjaw's corpse. She creates an herbalic potion during the short rest and uses it to meld the heart together with a ritual, embalming it with necrodruid magic. After it's preparation, Solya has Darkjaw sit in front of the embalming ritual and absorb its' fumes, connecting his heart and soul to the mummy lord body. This allows Darkjaw to heal with hit dice; 4,7,3,9,7,10,5,7,11 (63), 10, 9, 5, 4, 3, 8 (102 total, 102/114 HP & all hit dice used, 4/4 1st, 2/3 2nd, 3/3 3rd, 2/2 4th spell slots). Solya uses Natural Recovery to regain a 4th level & 3rd level spell slot (spell slots: 4/4 1st, 2/3 2nd, 3/3 3rd, 3/3 4th, 2/2 5th, 1/1 6th, 1/1 7th, 1/1 8th, 78/78 HP). Finally, after stashing the Heart of Darkjaw, Solya casts Animate Dead (3rd level) on Darkjaw's corpse to have it rise as an ally. Darkjaw takes all his weapons and equipment from the zombie except his greatsword, which he leaves with the weredrake. The couple take their positions, and Darkjaw attacks with a stealthy first strike acidic explosive arrow, dealing 9 piercing/2 fire/7 acid/3 Favored enemy (21 total) to the dragon as the weredrake zombie charges in.Combat: Darkjaw (mummy lord form) & Solya (with Darkjaw zombie) vs. Undead Adult Frost Dragon
Initiative
- Darkjaw: 7 (73/114 HP, 4/4 1st, 2/3 2nd, 3/3 3rd, 2/2 4th)

- Deadjaw: 15 (25/114 HP)
- Undead Frost Dragon: 8 (16/200 HP, AC 18)
Round 1
- Lair Action: The dragon causes freezing fog to fill a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on a point the dragon can see within 120 feet of it. The fog spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured. Deadjaw succeeds on his save and takes 7 cold damage. A creature that ends its turn in the fog takes 10 (3d6) cold damage. A wind of at least 20 miles per hour disperses the fog. The fog otherwise lasts until the dragon uses this lair action again or until the dragon dies.
- Solya: Casts Shadow Glob (4th level) at the dragon for 30 necrotic damage. She then casts Healing Spirit (2nd level) on Darkjaw for 6 HP, then holds concentration on it.
- Deadjaw: Charges the dragon with his greatsword, but both clang off the dragon's icy hide. At the end of Deadjaw's turn, the dragon brings his tail down onto him for 11 bludgeoning damage
- Undead Frost Dragon: Uses Frightful Presence on all three; Deadjaw is unaffected because he's a zombie, but the power couple stays unafraid because of their love for each other & conqerence of dragons. He then multiattacks Deadjaw; bites for 16 piercing/3 cold, a claw for 12 slashing, and a crit claw for 20 slashing (51 total). He then takes to the sky, flying 80 ft towards Solya and not far from Darkjaw.
- Darkjaw: Is not having any of it, fires a dual-explosive round (Acidic & Explosive both hit for 15 thunder/7 acid/14 piercing/6 fire/3 Favored Enemy damage (45 total). Then fires a Lightning arrow for 5 piercing/1 fire/23 lightning/3 Favored Enemy damage (32 total). He then transforms into his Lamarva form and soars over to protect Solya.
Round 2
- Lair Action: Jagged ice shards fall from the ceiling, striking up to three creatures underneath that the dragon can see within 120 feet of it. The dragon makes one ranged attack roll (+7 to hit) against each target. Solya, Darkjaw & Deadjaw take 8 piercing damage.
- Solya: Heals Darkjaw for 3 HP, drops the spell, then casts Call Lightning (3rd level) on the dragon, who crit fails it's save and takes 17 lightning damage. The dragon makes a Wing Attack (2 Legendary Actions) on Solya, hitting her for 12 bludgeoning damage and knocking her prone. The dragon then flies backward, getting a good line of sight on Lamarvajaw & Solya.
- Deadjaw: Charges at the dragon, but is not nearly close enough.
- Undead Frost Dragon: Unleashes a torrent of cold breath at Darkjaw & Solya; both don't dodge in time and take 30 cold (Darkjaw) & 61 cold (Solya). Solya is down, frozen into the floor.; her Call Lightning cloud dissipates. The dragon flies towards Darkjaw.
- Darkjaw: Enraged, Darkjaw unleashes his demonic lycan fury, transforming into a demonic polar bear (hybrid form) as he soared towards the dragon with his drake form. He slashes the dragon's face for 20 slashing/2 fire/3 Favored Enemy (25 total) & 8 slashing/3 fire/3 Favored Enemy (14 total). He lands on the back of the dragon's neck and grabs on, opens his demonic jaws as wide as he ever has (charged with fire and hatred) and crit bites into the dragon, killing it for 18 piercing/2 fire/3 Favored Enemy damage (23 total) and ripping the frozen flesh from the nape. The pure will of his hatred and power decimated the Daidrin magic operating this undead vessel, crashing the dragon corpse to the ground. Darkjaw eats the flesh and dismounts his foe, victorious.
The Ritual: Darkjaw & Solya vs. Zalcophet's Wraith
Darkjaw rushes up to Solya; having just killed the dragon with his bite, he unleashes Bloodfire Breath over the ice, thawing out his love. He casts Cure Wounds (2nd level) on her, healing 14 HP and bringing her to consciousness. They are now at the following stats & initiative:- Darkjaw: 8, 73/114 HP, 4/4 1st, 1/3 2nd, 3/3 3rd, 2/2 4th
- Solya: 7, 0/78 HP, 4/4 1st, 1/3 2nd, 1/3 3rd, 2/3 4th, 2/2 5th, 1/1 6th, 1/1 7th, 1/1 8th
- Deadjaw: 7 (guarding Solya) 0/114 HP
- Zalcophet Wraith: 5, 16/114 HP, 4/4 1st, 2/3 2nd, 3/3 3rd, 0/3 4th, 1/2 5th, 0/1 6th, 0/1 7th
Round 1
- Darkjaw: Casts Vampiric Touch (3rd level) on Zalcophet, dealing 8 necrotic and healing 4 HP to himself. Stands between the urn and Zalcophet
- Solya: Draws a circle in the ground around the urn with Deadjaw's blood, then successfully activates the necromantic magic within.
- Deadjaw: Stands in defense, holding his attack for anyone that comes over
- Zalcophet: Casts Hold Person (2nd level) on Darkjaw; he fails and is paralyzed. Zalcophet moves over to Deadjaw, who swings his sword twice for 24 slashing/7 fire (27 total, since he is resistant to fire damage in wraith form). Zalcophet maintains concentration on Darkjaw.
Round 2
- Darkjaw: Does not break free of Hold Person
- Solya: Opens the urn to reveal the Heart of Zalcophet and levitates it above one symbol in the circle. She levitates Darkjaw's heart above another symbol. Then, with an amazing Medicine check, Solya magically carves out her own heart and levitates it above the final symbol. The magic locks the hearts in place, ready for Solya to speak the necessaey incantations.
- Deadjaw: Swings twice more at Zalcophet, critting 25 slashing/2 fire (27 total) on the first hit and 9 slashing/2 fire (11 total) on the second.
- Zalcophet: Casts Dark Lightning (4th level) on Deadjaw & Solya; both fail their saves and fall. Deadjaw is incinerated, while Solya falls unconscious with dark energy frying around her body.
Round 3
- Darkjaw: Senses his love's fall and breaks free of Hold Person with a vengeful fury. He exhales fiery breath at Zalcophet, who only takes 6 fire damage.
- Solya: Feels the fight of her lover and her fight for all good souls in the Underworld. Makes a Death Save with advantage, succeeds and utters part of the incantations from the Ethereal Plane.
- Zalcophet: Attempts to Dispel Magic (7th level) on the ritual, realizing the strength it has gained. However, a popping sound eminates from the shadows and Zalcophet's spell fizzles out before it can destroy the ritual. Zalcophet's spirit looks over in anger, seeming to recognize exactly who cast the Counterspell.
Round 4
- Darkjaw: Casts Ensnaring Strike (1st level) while striking Zalcophet with the Forge Maul, intending to pin this disgusting soul to the ground. Crit fails the first strike, but smashes Zalcophet with the second for 17 bludgeoning/4 fire damage (19 total due to fire resistance). However, he slips through the vines as they try to trap him, unable to restrain the rogue spirit
- Solya: With a final push from beyond, Solya succeeds on her second Death Save and completes the incantation, fully setting the ritual in motion.
- Zalcophet: "No, nooooo!! You TRAITOR! CURSE THE SHADOW KING!!" the Frost Pharaoh screams as the ritual begins tearing the mummy lord curse from his heart, distributing it evenly between Darkjaw's & Solya's. All three beings remain entranced as this happens, which goes on for about a minute.
Round 5
- Darkjaw: Passes the test of charismatic will against the corruptive darkness of the mummy lord's curse, completing his ascension to Mummy King Darkjaw
- Soyla: Passes the test of charismatic will against the corruptive darkness of the mummy lord's curse, completing her ascension to Mummy Queen Solya
- Zalcophet: Holds enough willpower to not be destroyed or knocked into the Ethereal Plane from the forces of the ritual, but is now disembodied from the mummy lord curse and loses stability in his wraith form.
Beginning of their Reign
As the new Mummy King & Queen materialize in swirling vortexes of necrotic fire (Darkjaw) & poison (Solya), the shadow in the corner launches two of its tiny pieces into their mix, causing a brief blip of its darkness within Darkjaw & Solya's swirling forms. The shadow then extends several tendrils at Zalcophet's soul, who unleashes a desperate ethereal shriek as he is dragged in to the darkness and audibly consumed. After a minute, the vortexes complete their formation into Mummy King & Queen Darkjaw & Solya. Standing before them, lavished from feasting on Zalcophet's soul, is an old elven man unlike any they have seen; pale grey skin and a cloak, seemingly made of shadows, billowing around him. Solya recognized this elven subrace from her history lessons; Moon Elf, a subrace thought to be extinct. The figure introduces himself as Avernion the Shadow King; he congratulates them on their success and all the undead throne can offer them. He also thanks them; by consuming Zalcophet's soul (another of the last Moon Elves and a fellow undead), he broke the barrier that keeps him from teleporting outside of the Caverns of Darthalmir, as opposed to projecting himself as an interactive illusion. However, he cannot spend more than a day apart from the Daidrin Gaiostone (his phylactery), as he will be instantly teleported back there and tethered for 8 hours (a Long Rest). Avernion does not tell them this last part, as he does not immediately reveal that he is a shadow lich. Solya puts it together that Zalcophet didn't really have him trapped here; Avernion simply used them to break part of his eternal curse. However, Avernion reminds them that they got exactly what they wanted (a throne) and if he hadn't stopped Zalcophet from dispelling the ritual, they would have failed. Solya & Darkjaw see his point clearly, demanding to know where the Daidrin Gaiostone is; it's power will not be withheld and they are done with his lies.Avernion instead makes them a deal; while they rule the surface world with siphoned dark energy from the Daidrin Gaiostone, Avernion will retain custody of the Daidrin Gaiostone and reduce the syphons as necessary for his goals. Solya demands that if this arrangement is to be made, the dark energy levels can NEVER go below the amount needed for her Death Gate (10th level, forbidden necromancy) spell. Avernion agrees to these terms, but warns her that a spell like that will take months, perhaps even years, to prepare. Solya looks at Darkjaw with a smile and states "That's alright, we have an eternity to cast it". Avernion & Solya shake on their deal; and thus, Mummy King Darkjaw & Mummy Queen Solya have advanced to their true potential; ruling an undead empire in the North Pole of Gaion.
Reunion with a Matron
After a few days, Mummy Queen Solya decides that she wants to right one last wrong and unite their true family. The couple teleports to Gotharamor which has become a near ghost town since they were last here. They talk to a villager they used to know; he barely recognizes them in their undead forms, worried that they died on their quest. The King & Queen affirmed that they did, prompting an unnerved sensation within the villager. After further questioning, he reveals that most of the villagers left with the Warian Collective after the death of Gothicca; with rampant disease but without their matron dragon, they saw no purpose to remain in Gotharamor. He points them to a grove to the south, saying they buried Gothicca there after she was killed by Dr. Plaezus. They know that is was the Gaiobros that killed her, but choose not to enlighten this villager. They thank him for the information, but Darkjaw is hungry. Solya goes off to the grove as Darkjaw eats the villager and hunts Gotharamor for any remaining elves. Solya casts Create Undead in a powerful ritual, having studied how Zalcophet creates his Undead Frost Dragon. With a replication of the ritaul found in his enscriptions, Solya reanimates Gothicca as an Undead Forest Dragon, then mounts her. Gothicca flies over to Darkjaw, who has eaten the last villager and set fire to the remaining structures. Together, the three fly off into the northern horizon as Gotharamor, the last remnant of their old life, burns behind them.Final Forms
Mummy King Darkjaw
- Same weapon loadout as Darkjaw
- Only Daidrin & Draconic spells
- Ranger Conclave: Daidrin Gaioforce Ranger
- During his formation, the demonic lycan spirit within him was deconstructed and mixed into the dark energy of the necrotic curse. Darkjaw's soul is still intact and as evil as ever, but is no longer tied to lycanthrophy. When choosing a form to live in, Darkjaw inhabits a Lamarva-looking weredrake body (think feral looking dragonborn) with wings, a tail & his signature antlers/Sun Elf scalp.
- Add mummy lord abilities to the statblock
- Claims the Scepter of Zalcophet as a trophy, but most of the weapon's magic fades upon Zalcophet's death. Works on it and adds some draconic cold damage to it's makeup.
Mummy Queen Solya
- Druid Circle: Circle of the Necrodruid (custom, need to create this class). She also has access to the full Daidrin spell list
- Mainly Daidrin, poison & necromany spells. No healing
- During her transformation, her spirit's connection to her draconic lineage allowed her to infuse herself with the poison magic of Gothicca. Physically, she resembles a pale, undead version of Nolya.
- Add mummy lord abilities to the statblock
