Gaios War
The Gaios War
The century-long battle between the four Elder Gods, taking place in the cosmos above Gaion. It is rumored that the earliest dragons were alive by the end of the war, and as such are the only ones with the lore on how it ended.
Aurovi, Denothis, Gaios & T’Nar wanted domain over Gaion, warring in a stalemate of Light (energy & matter), Dark (dark energy & dark matter) Space (matter, antimatter & dark matter) & Time (inter-dimensional & temporal forces). Over time, even these immortal, divine entities grow drained of their battle with their equals, with much of their power irradiating Gaion from above. It is believed that this mix of power from the Elder Gods imbued the early dragons, eventually evolving into the primal but powerful Draconic Magic.
T’Nar, having a unique perspective on the war given his temporal omniscience, slowly convinces (tricks) Aurovi & Denothis to focus their power on Gaios, who was proving to wield the most direct and troublesome control over Gaion. Eventually, the war turned into a 3-on-1 of Aurovi, Denothis & T’Nar against Gaios.
-In the climactic finish, the three Elder God allies come to a simultaneous truce & finisher. They form a triangle around Gaios and channel their most devastating power into the surrounded Elder God, penetrating and overloading him with a cosmic & divine storm of power. Ancient dragon texts describe this event as the single most powerful display of divine power ever to be seen on Gaion; past, present & future. The storm is also believed to be the true origin of the Gaioforce, swirling all of the Elder Gods’ power into one melting pot of cosmic components. Gaios screams in divine roars that could be heard planets away.
Finally, to complete the kill, the Elder Gods rip Gaios apart by imploding, then exploding the storm throughout the solar system. It is believed that there were five planets within the system; all were lifeless and irradiated by apocalyptic blasts of Gaioforce power that effectively destroyed their current forms and began terraformation based on the predominant Gaioforce powers that hit them. The Elder Gods shaped the power of the explosion into a cosmic barrier around the entire system, mockingly in a constellation-style form of Gaios with Gaion at the center. They then drew in all remaining Gaioforce power to their position above Gaion, concentrating it into five asteroids of pure Gaioforce. These became the five Gaiostones, emanating five distinct auras/cosmic components of the combined Elder Gods’ power:
1. Garonis Gaiostone, manifestation of matter
2. Blauri Gaiostone, manifestation of dark matter
3. Rouzhai Gaiostone, manifestation of antimatter
4. Goultani Gaiostone, manifestation of energy
5. Daidrin Gaiostone, manifestation of dark energy & interdimensionality
T’Nar’s power was merely sprinkled into every Gaiostone, cleverly keeping some power to himself. The three agreed on their new domains; all three gods would have equal access to Gaion, no matter what. In addition, Aurovi would claim the two top left planets of their system (if looking at a map of the Gaion system), as they were hit with the highest concentrations of Goultani & Garonis auras. Denothis would claim the two bottom right planets, as they were hit with the highest concentrations of Daidrin & Blauri auras. T’Nar would take the bottom left planet & maintain the interconnecting space paths. However, he cleverly convinces Denothis to trade him his Rouzhai planet for his Blauri one. To seal their treaty, the Elder Gods flung the five Gaiostones to the new heart of the solar system, Gaion. This triggered the climax to the ongoing Gaioforce Extinction.
With Gaion a neutral territory, each Elder God explored the depths of their new territories and brought new forms of life (or unlife) to their planets. They also brought guidance to the terraformation, completing the new planets as naming them:
1. Hytheria: the Skies of Hytheria, Goultani world of sky & celestials
2. Aurovia: the Aurovian Wilds, Garonis world of life & fey
3. Ominoid: the Seas of Aknar, Blauri world of mystery & aquarians
4. Thugora: the Thugoran Chaos, Rouzhai world of unstable antimatter & demons
5. Darthalheim: the Underworld & Hell, Daidrin world of death & devils
