Gods of Gaion
The gods of Gaion are supremely powerful & immortal beings that hold dominion over Gaion in various ways & aspects.
When gods were reverted to demigod form by T’Nar’s Descension Curse, the effects were far worse. Scriptures & written depictions of the god still exist, but even clerics/paladins/warlocks forget their name. •Gods die when they are killed by more powerful gods OR when their followers & domain are severely diminished, leaving the god immortal but able to be killed, even by powerful mortals.
Aurovi & Denithor ruled in a cold war of their competing domains for thousands of years, eventually culminating in a century-long fight between the two. With equal power, Aurovi & Denithor killed each other in an extraordinary cosmic explosion, which kicked off the Elder Wars.
Note -Incorporate the following change: 1. Aurovi: God of Life & Light. The life domain has been split amongst Dahli’s & Akana’s children, with some specific life forms falling under the domain of powerful archfey. The light domain has been woven into the inter-dimensional weave of the Gaion multiverse. 2. Denothis: God of Death & Darkness. The death domain has been taken by Cyr & partially distributed to her children, while also allowing certain Archdevils & Demon Princes (highest form of demon lord) influence over it. The darkness domain has been woven into the inter-dimensional weave of the Gaion multiverse. 3. Gaios: God of Space (3 dimensions of spacetime) & Elements. Both domains were either consolidated into the Gaiostones upon their creation or woven into the inter-dimensional weave of the Gaion multiverse. 4. T’Nar: God of Time (4th dimension of spacetime) & Knowledge. Both domains were split into T’Nar’s three new forms of existence after the Elder Wars: Stuvanis (Time God of History, Archaeology & Paleontology, splintered across the past/dualistic deity with Prafina), Prafina (Time Goddess of Foresight & Prophecies, splintered across the future/dualistic deity with Stuvanis), & Prolexer (Time God of Discovery, traversing the known & unknown universe to catalog knowledge for the Eternus Archive). T’Nar’s children (born or adopted, like Murthis) embody different aspects of knowledge & creativity.

Dahli’s Children (4, three seasons & the beginning of life) •Aoira the B •Morgura (Ascension God, deceased): Swamps, Misery & Bog Elves. Represents the grace & joy of Dahli’s touch, encourages strong harvest among farmers before the heat intensifies. •Maku (Ascension God, deceased): Deserts, Summer & Drought. Represents Dahli’s full gaze, allowing only the worthy to withstand its solar intensity. Solternia was originally based in a desert. •Jaga (Ascension God): Fall, Rainforests, Hunting & Tropic Elves (extinct). Represents the harvest/killing of creatures before the brutality of winter embraces Dalterra. 5. Thatos’ Children (6, the dark feelings) •Sevuctus, the Dark Enthraller (Ascension God): Trickery, Deceipt, Lust & Addiction. Wears many different faces & forms. Change to male god instead of female/nonbinary goddess •Zorn, the Hoarding King (Ascension God): Greed, Gluttony & Selfishness •Agdolyr, the Laughing End (Ascension God): Murder, Torture, Psychopathy •Damathrax (Planar God): Battle/Slaughter, Rage & Hatred. Has four horns, four arms & has bony plates across his body, like armor. His eyes glow red with wrath and his mouth screams in rage to the point of exhaling fire. He wields a weapon in each hand, enhanced with/made out of fire, lightning, plasma & death (greatsword, greataxe, maul & lance). •Neris (Planar God): Disease, Famine, Rot •Goru, the Shade of Terror (Planar God): Fear & Madness. An inky cloud of chaotic, infectious Thugoran essence sown by Thatos himself. The cloud can take the form of whatever the user fears, but otherwise whisper terrifying thoughts through twisted mouths formed haphazardly within the cloud. However, his true form is a terrifying centipede-like monster with skeletal legs poking out of the faces of captured souls. His true face is cloaked in shadow behind a single, closed eyelid. Only once his victim is truly afraid will he open his eye to consume the victim’s soul, which he does by protruding several rotting hands from behind the eyelid as if pulling themselves out. Since most mortals who looked at his true form die, it is not known by most beings how many legs Goru’s true form has, nor does any mortal know what his true eye looks like. Every soul he frightens to death is supposedly added to his body. -Gnathok (Ascension God): Gluttony & cannibalism. Patron to gnolls 6. Cyr’s Children (3, the cycle of death) •??? the Eternal Tyrant (Ascension God): Conquest, Domination, Slavery & Tyranny •Danos, the Grim Collector or Unliving Warden (Planar God): Soul Collection & Undeath. instead of the skeletal centipede, his form is that of a gargantuan humanoid devil (upper body) with four skeletal spider-like legs (lower body). Goru (Demon God of Fear) takes Danos’ original centipede form. •Inihl the Voidweaver (Planar God): 7. Hytheron’s Children (elements of the sky) 8. Akana’s Children (elements of the sea) 9. Gar’gomaut’s Children (elements of the land, all Ascension Gods) 10. Lesser Deities •Savaan: daughter of Syna, matron to Loxodons •Pronoxus: son of Rogna, patron to Mammodons •Gnathok: son of Agdolyr, cannibalism & predation •???: son of ???, the beast king 11. Pagan Gods •The Wyrmkings (deceased) •Thalagar •Avernox: Undeath •Gaelinox (after usurping Avernox): Undeath Divine Rules When a god dies, their true name is sundered from all minds & scriptures across the world. Only minds & scriptures blessed by T’Nar (including his clerics/paladins/champions) can remember the true name. However, minds & scriptures still retain the titles/mortal names for the gods. For example, Thatos & Hytheron are remembered as the Lord of Ruin & the Storm Warden. During the Divine Era, the Ascension Gods sired many children amongst mortals & created demigods. Only the most exceptional & worthy of these children ascended to become Minor Gods, upon which they can either join their parents as subservients to the Planar Gods in the Five Realms or walk amongst mortals as their divine leaders. Most Minor Gods died during the Elder Wars, acting as the frontline divine generals in the mortal realm. Those that did not have alternate titles beyond their true names were effectively forgotten & lost to time. Many of the demigods became legendary heroes, spun into grand tales of the Elder Wars in recognition of their feats. One of these heroes was legendary for blinding Queen Medusa, ruler of Stoneport within the Solternian Empire (she was a faithful follower of Dahli, cursed by the goddess for Athena/Medusa like reasons. She turned men into statues & women into medusas). The blinded Queen Medusa retreated and eventually settled into an abandoned draconic library in Vulsemar. Planar Gods were usually created when an Ascension God/Goddess mated with a powerful immortal while projecting a fragment of their divine essence into the sex, known as a Seed of Divinity. As such, creating a Planar God inherently costs the god or goddess a small part of their power, as the seed needs to grow within the immortal. An immortal granted the seed eventually completes a feat of ascension to be reborn as a Planar God.God updates/clarifiers as of 6/19/2024 (some need to be moved to T'Nar's article)
God names (on Gaion): 1. Dahli, the Burning Empress 2. Thatos, the Lord of Ruin 3. Hytheron, the Storm Warden 4. Akana, the Seamother 5. Cyr, the Cold Empress 6. Gar’gomaut, the ??? Emperor 7. Neviros, the Midnight King Divine Artifacts 1. Manespire - Dalhi’s 1st divine weapon/spear, contained the Goultani Gaiostone, broken into three pieces: the stone itself (tossed to the Navitos Trench/Hythenos crash site), the Staff of Dahlivine (shaft, landed in Dalterra, eventually made its way into an Infernal Dragon’s horde, currently corrupted and in possession of Count Volugard) & the Dahliseed Fang (spearhead, landed in the heart of the Wildhaven/Woodhaven Forest & shifted the Leylines towards it; modern-day Warian Grand Nexus, but the item’s modern-day location is unknown) 2. Storm Warden’s Edge - Hytheron’s greatsword, contains the Goultani Gaiostone, owned by the dwarves of Dolgramath/whatever it’s called, powering their city & magical expansion 3. Seamother’s Wrath - Akana’s trident, contains the Blauri Gaiostone, owned by the Drowned Pharaoh of Aikanos 4. Mercy’s Bane - Thatos’ greataxe, contains the Rouzhai Gaiostone, owned by Banatar until the eve of the Perniam Wars. Thatos destroyed it and the Garonis Gaiostone to ignite the global conflicts he’d carefully or chaotically woven over the millennia. 5. Dawnbreaker - Dahli’s 2nd divine weapon/glaive, crafted with burning Sunstone from the core of a Yellow Giant star, killing it in the process. She uses it as her main weapon of conquest, whether waging war against defiant worlds or slaying gods herself. The weapon casts Sunburst whenever someone other than Dahli touches it. 6. Scythe of the Frost Reaper - Cyr’s divine weapon, a bone T’Nar changes 1. Stuvanis (History, Contracts, Archaeology & Paleontology) & Prafina the Fatemother (Foresight, Prophecies & Fate) remain on Gaion, while Prolexer (Discovery & Exploration) explores the cosmos to catalogue the universe. Stuvanis maintains the Eternus Archive & the Divine Accords, while Prafina maintains the Weave of Reality. Prafina uses the essence of the deceased Sorlaei as a means to self-govern the arcane access to the Weave, but does not directly govern arcane magic except in cases of fate-defying magic. 2. To enact the Divine Accords, T’Nar voluntarily split his divine essence into four pieces (symbolic of the four Elder Gods). Stunavis, Prafina & Prolexer were created from 3/4ths of T’Nar, while the last 1/4th was permanently grafted into the Weave of Reality & throughout the multiverse to power the Divine Accords. And thus, the most powerful magic contract in Gaion’s history was bound upon all gods & deities hailing from Gaion. During the Divine Era, the Ascension Gods focused on creating Planar Gods, rather than creating Minor Gods amongst the mortals. This is because they were focused on having offspring to cement their control over the Five Realms, since their control of Gaion was already absolute. As a result, very few Minor Gods rose from mortal society and usually did so without direct divine assistance. Specifically, Syna, Jaga, Morgura & Maku ascended without Dahli’s help, as did Akana’s children. [dwarven god] ascended by standing against Hytheron, and he assisted his own children into ascending into gods of craft. Other than that, most demigod children sat on the thrones of their parents’ divine cities, hanging onto the promise of divine reward/ascension if they dutifully rule in their parents’ name. ????God Death
When a god is killed, their name is rendered unholy across the multiverse. The god’s name is sundered from the minds of non-worshipping mortals. Written scriptures & depictions of the deity still exist unless manually scrubbed out. Clerics, paladins & warlocks remember the deity they served, but they can no longer draw their power from this deity. Individuals who don’t remember the god’s name believe firmly that the god doesn’t exist, even if someone attempts to re-evangelize them later. When gods were reverted to demigod form by T’Nar’s Descension Curse, the effects were far worse. The Gods (section moved)
Elder Gods
The Elder Gods formed from the first cosmic particles (presumed to be from the Big Bang) that collided to create Gaion. Their power fluctuates with the strength of their domain and is unaffected by worship/mortal faith. As such; they don’t seek out mortal followers unless they desire to have champions or agents in the world. Only an Elder God can kill another Elder God.- Aurovi - God of Life & Light (killed by Denothis during the Elder Wars)
- Denithor - God of Death & Darkness (killed by Aurovi during the Elder Wars)
- T'Nar - God of Time (left Gaion to catalog the universe)
- Gaios - God of The World/Elements (killed by the other three during the Gaioforce Extinction)
Titan Gods
The Titan Gods (sometimes refered to as the Titans) were the primordial children of the Elder Gods, born from the conception between the Elder Gods whilst "entangling" amongst the primordial elements & forces of the planet. The Titan Gods were imprisoned or destroyed after the Gaioforce Extinction. The deities who were in "shared custody" of Auvori & Denithor (Waryuk & Torthan) were destroyed by both parents, while Rogna & Jalar were imprisoned in the Thugoran Chaos (by Denithor) & Skies of Hytheria (by Aurovi), respectively. Their power fluctuates with the strength of their domain and is unaffected by worship/mortal faith. Only an Elder God or another Titan God can kill a Titan God. Despite their lack of need for followers, the dragons (first sentient creatures on Gaion) worshipped the Titan Gods and learned their magic from them, which later became known as Draconic Magic. Forest & Reaper Dragons learned from Aurovi & Denithor, respectively, but drew aspects of their magic from the Titan Gods as well.- Waryuk - Born from Aurovi, Denithor & Gaios. Goddess of the Primal Seas, appears as an watery elemental kraken of unfathomably gargantuan size. Krakens exist as the titan descendents of Waryuk. Aurovi & Denithor killed the titanic deity by tearing her apart, sealing her deceased flesh in Ominor to create the Elemental Plane of Water. Drops of Waryuk's prehistoric blood left behind in the mortal world became undersea pools of divine water. Water Dragons (predecessor to Frost & Sea Dragons) learned from Waryuk.
- Vulkar - Born from Denithor & Gaios. God of the Prehistoric Flames, appears as a fiery elemental tarrasque of unfathomably gargantuan size. Tarrasques exist as the titan descendents of Rogna. Imprisoned in the Thugoran Chaos & merging with it's portion to create the Elemental Plane of Fire, it grants some of the realm's ceaseless flames & volcanic activity. Fire Dragons (predecessor to Infernal & Solar Dragons) learned from Vulkar.
- Torthan - Born from Aurovi, Denithor & Gaios, God of the Ancient Lands, appears as a earthern elemental tortoise of unfathomably gargantuan size. Tortles exist as unique descendent of Torthan, and Dragon Turtles are believed to be the inspiration from Torthan & Waryuk. Killed by a combined assault from Auvori & Denithor, smashed to divine pieces ranging from large boulders to entire islands. Some of the smallest pieces sat for thousands of years before eventually becoming the first tortles. Earth Dragons (predecessor to Terra & Infernal Dragons) learned from Torthan. Torthan's Heart, his largest organ, was sealed deep within Aurofey, merging with it's portion to create the Elemental Plane of Earth.
- Jalar - Born from Aurovi & Gaios. Goddess of the Ancient Sky, appears as a stormy elemental multi-headed dragon of unfathomably gargantuan size. Imprisoned near the heart of the Jalarian Skies & merging with it's portion to create the Elemental Plane of Air, it grants some of the realm's ceaseless winds & storms. Air Dragons (predecessor to Solar & Storm Dragons) learned from Jalar.
Arcian & Dakian Gods
The Ascension Gods are the seven deities born to mortal & Elder God parents (Akana, Gar’gomaut, Dahli, Neviros, Hytheron, Thatos & Cyr). They start as mortals with immense demigod powers. To step into their full power, they must ascend to godhood through extraordinary means (usually involving a Gaiostone). They strengthen & weaken based on their domains, but are also strengthen/weakened by the number & faith of their followers. As such, they can be killed by gods or powerful beings when their domain and/or following is sufficiently diminished.History
After the destruction or imprisonment of the Titan Gods by Aurovi & Denothis, dragons ruled the world as its dominion and terrorized mortal humanoid civilizations & beast populations alike.Arcian Gods (3, in birth order)
- Akana the Seamother - Seafolk Goddess of the Oceans (Blauri Gaiostone). Birthed from a merfolk, cecailean or cratoan (crab people) mother (the legends are split, which causes conflict between the races) and Auvori, conceived in a pool of Waryuk. Aurovi drew the essence of the Ominoid Realm into the conception, inherently tying Akana to it.
- Dahli, the Burning Empress - Sun Elf Goddess of the Sun (Goultani Gaiostone). Birthed from a Sun Elven mother and Aurovi in the summer desert sun on top of the mountain where the Goultani Gaiostone landed), the place that eventually became Solternia. Aurovi drew the essence of the Aurovian Wilds into the conception, inherently tying Dahli to it.
- Hytheron, the Storm Warden- Human God of the Sky (Goultani Gaiostone, secondhand). Birthed from Aurovi by ???. Aurovi drew the essence of the Skies of Hytheria into the conception, inherently tying Dahli to it.
Dakian Gods (4, in birth order)
- Gar’gomaut the Worldbreaker - Giant God of the Land (Garonis Gaiostone). Birthed from Denithor fucking the volcanic trench of lava & magma at the South Pole of Esgaron, where the Garonis Gaiostone landed. Denithor drew the essence of the Thugoran Chaos into the conception, inherently tying Gar’gomaut to it.
- Neviros the Midnight King - Moon Elf God of the Moon (Daidrin Gaiostone). Birthed from Denithor by ???. Denithor drew the essence of Darthalheim into the conception, inherently tying Neviros to it.
- Thatos the Lord of Ruin - Orc God of War & Chaos (Rouzhai Gaiostone). Birthed from Denithor by an orc mother. Denithor drew the essence of the Vulkaran Abyss into the conception, inherently tying Thatos to it.
- Cyr the Frost Reaper - Frost Elf Goddess of Death & Cold (Daidrin Gaiostone, secondhand). Birthed from Denothis by ???. Denothis drew the essence of Darthalheim into the conception, inherently tying Cyr to it and replace his previously fallen child. Pantheon information already moved to Cyr's article
Temporal Gods (?)
- Dolgar the Rune King - Dwarven God of Runes & Craft (no Gaiostone). Birthed from T'Nar by ???. T'Nar drew the essence of the Elder Archives into the conception, inherently tying Dolgar to it as a beacon of craft & knowledge in times of great hardship.
Planar Gods
Children of the Arcian/Dakian Gods created when one of them mated with an immortal parent from one of the Five Realms (or a border plane). They start as powerful beings within these realms (archfey, archdevils, demon lords, aquiprinces, archangels, etc.). To step into their full power, they must ascend to godhood through worship & extraordinary power/events. Their life cycle & power functions the same way as that of an Arcian/Dakian God.Ascension Gods
Children of the Arcian/Dakian Gods created when one of them mated with a mortal parent. They start as mortals with demigod powers. To step into their full power, they must ascend to godhood through worship & extraordinary power/events. Their life cycle & power functions the same way as that of an Ascension or Planar God, but even at their strongest, they are weaker than their divine superiors. This makes them highly unlikely to usurp their parents without significant help.Dahli's Children
- Aoira the Birth Maiden - Fey God (genderless) of Birth, acts as a sentinel to the Allheart and the midwife of souls. The Allheart is the last divine piece of Aurovi, which births raw, cosmic energy from the universe with each beat. ??? crafts new souls from these beats and determines where souls are sent in the Gaion system based on her will, as in whether they grow within mortal bodies or grow as immortal spirits.
- Syna - Wood Elf Goddess of Spring, Temperate Forests, Growth & Happiness. Wanders the Aurovian Wilds as an unaligned fey god upon Dahli's abandonment after the Divine Wars.
- Jaga - Wood Elf God of Autumn, Tropical Rainforests/Jungles, Biodiversity & the Hunt. Wanders the Aurovian Wilds as an unaligned fey god upon Dahli's abandonment after the Elder Wars.
- Morgura- Gnome Goddess of Winter, Taiga Forests, Swamps, Aging & Depression. Killed by Cyr's pantheon during the Divine Wars.
- Maku - Sun Elf God of Summer, Deserts & Drought. Imprisoned by Hytheron in a Celestial Hourglass in the Skies of Hytheria during the Divine Wars. The Celestial Hourglass is manned by Hytheron's pantheon and spreads drought to whatever area on Gaion that it points to.
Hytheron's Planar God Children
- Aethelia - Angel Goddess of the Stars
- Lupio - Angel God of the Moon: killed by Cyr in a legendary fashion. Artwork depicts her holding Lupio's dying, freezing body with her Claw (weapon housing the Daidrin Gaiostone) through his chest. Their devil & angel wings, respectively, holds them up in the night sky, perfectly eclipsing the image over the moon.
- Aqari - Angel Goddess of Tropical Storms, twin of Ortheus: killed by Akana's pantheon during the Divine Wars
- Ortheus - Angel God of Terrestrial Storms, twin of Aqari. After Aqari's death & Hytheron's disappearance by the end of the Divine Wars, Ortheus became the God of Storms while respecting Akana's dominion over the seas.
- Vulca - Angel God of Fire: killed by Thatos' pantheon during the Divine Wars
Thatos' Planar God Children
- Damathrax - Demon God of Rage & Hatred . Four-armed & natural plate-armored demonic monster, leader of the Thugoran Army. Imprisoned by Hytheron during the Divine Wars, released by and loyal to Thatos during the Perniam Wars.
- Goru - Demon God of Fear. Often takes demonic drider form (half-spider, half dark elf), or the form of whatever the viewer fears. Imprisoned by Hytheron during the Divine Wars, released by and loyal to Thatos during the Perniam Wars.
- Sevuctus - Demon Goddess of Lust & Pleasure (while encouraging addiction). Often takes the form of whatever the viewer most desires. Neutral to Thatos during the Perniam Wars, often served by incubi/succubi
- Neris - Demon Goddess of Plague/Disease, Rot, Disgust/Taboos, & Oozes. Often takes a hybrid slug-octopus form, or the form of whatever disgusts the viewer. Neutral to Thatos during the Perniam Wars.
- Zorn - Demon God of Greed. Often takes snake or Yuan-Ti form. Rebels against Thatos during the Perniam Wars due to wanting his fleet of warships for himself.
Cyr's Planar God Children
- Danos the Endcrawler - Devil God of Dark Elves, Soul Collection, the Underdark & caverns. Born of Cyr & an archdevil who was in communion with a Dark Elf in the material plane. Cyr then killed the archdevil (killing the woman simultaneously) and drew in their negative energy to sire Danos, tying his essence to death & soul collection from the beginning. The Denowraiths that patrol the Astral Fog & Ethereal Plane in search of wandering mortal souls report to Danos. As the ultimate collector of souls, Danos has strong control over the Grand Soul Exchange (massive marketplace for devils & other traders of souls, dark energy & similar resources), and acts as the Treasury of Souls. Danos also trades souls to ??? for raw dark energy, which he trades out to necromancers in exchange for their soul (after death) or some other price. Danos governs undeath loosely, using it as a means to control necromancers rather than intending to keep it out of the mortal realm. Stronger necromancy spells, like the Rites of Vampirism, Mummy Lords, Liches, Dracoliches, Death Knights, and other powerful undead are often kept closely by Danos, who can offer them to mortal necromancers in exchange for his devilish bargains. Regardless, Danos tolerates the demon lords that spread undeath without claiming it as their own.
- Inihl the Voidweaver - Devil God (genderless) of the Void. Slowly draws all will-less souls from the Underworld to the Void Gate, which are usually picked off by devils & soul predators before they get there. Inihl converts all soul remnants that make it to the gate into raw, dark energy. This dark energy is usually released into the Void via the Void Gate (last divine piece of Denothis). However, as the largest holder of dark energy (Treasury of Dark Energy), Inihl often trades this commodity to Danos & other deities in exchange for completed souls. Inihl has a strict, cosmic code to not trade dark energy to non-deities, as it would cause imbalance from the dark energy Inihl releases into the universe.
- Sorlaei the Fatemother - Devil Goddess of Natural Death & Fate. Unlike the other death deities, the Fatemother has no direct influence over soul collection (Danos) or dark energy conversion (Inihl). Instead, she oversees all causes of natural death (disease, old age, the environment, etc.) and keeps things in balance. She also governs those who partake in fate-defying magic (resurrection & genocidal spells). When one partakes in a spell that resurrects the dead (reunites a mortal soul with a new/existing body) or a spell that would destroy an undue amount of living creatures, she appears to them in a vision, giving her plenty of time to warn the caster of the consequences to their actions. If they choose to pursue, she will imbue a price (or curse) on the soul of whoever casts the spell, which will become due based on her terms.
Minor Gods
Children of the Ascension or Planar Gods created when one of them mated with a mortal parent. They start as mortals with demigod powers. To step into their full power, they must ascend to godhood through worship & extraordinary power/events. Their life cycle & power functions the same way as that of an Ascension or Planar God, but even at their strongest, they are weaker than their divine superiors. This makes them highly unlikely to usurp their parents without significant help.Dahli's Minor God Children

Gar'gomaut's Minor God Children
- Rogna, Fire Giant god of Volcanoes: imprisoned by Thatos in the Thugoran Chaos. Fire Giants now live & dominate volcanic biomes, only competing with Rouzhai-savvy orcs & occasional dragons for territory. Fire Giants often worship Thatos now, if they follow any worship at all.
- Rathuum, Stone Giant god of Earthquakes, twin of Erethak: killed by Thatos. Stone Giants now live in scattered tribes across Hythenos & Thagoria.
- Erethak, Stone Giant goddess of Mountains, twin of Rathuum: killed by Hytheron. Stone Giants now live in scattered tribes across Hythenos & Thagoria.
- Heig’aroth, Storm Giant god of Storms: killed by Hytheron. Storm Giants either fled to the Skies of Hytheria (swearing fealty to Hytheron's pantheon), the Ominoid Realm (swearing fealty to Akana's pantheon) or live as nomadic wanderers of the seas, islands, coasts & mountaintops. They became hermits to avoid detection from either set of deities, only meeting up to mate. The Storm Giants that stayed away from the seas devolved into Cloud Giants, holding only some of the power & mystique they had with their old connection.
- Ouimat, Forest Giant goddess of Grasslands & Forests: killed by Dahli's children. Dahli's pantheon cursed the Forest Giants after the war to become dimwitted & more savage than the others, becoming the Hill Giants we know today.
- Tatamoui, Sea Giant goddess of Islands: killed by Akana's children. Akana cursed the Sea Giants after the war to become the cyclops we know today, becoming dumber, losing their amphibious attributes and only bearing one eye.
- Sthogurd, Frost Giant god of Tundras: killed by Cyr. Frost Giants live in artic tundras, taigas & mountains on the northern & southern part of the world, such as Cyregnor, Northern Vulsemar & Southern Hythenos. In Hythenos, they are separated from humankind by an echanted ice wall, forever enhanced with the Goultani Gaiostone to emit a magic/Gaioforce disrupting pulse of sonic energy. This does not prevent physical harm to come to the near impentatrable ice wall, but it prevents the Garonis magic practiced by the Frost Giants to affect it in any way. The wall is guarded by the Giant's Shield, a centuries-old order of paladins serving Hytheron's pantheon and swearing their lives to keep the giants from breaching the wall.
Hytheron's Minor God Children
- Zabriel - Angel God of War & Hatred: killed by Damathrax as depicted by ancient art (the demonic Damathrax holding Zabriel with two arms while ripping his wings off with the other two)
- Persora- Angel Goddess of Love & Compassion
Unaligned Minor Gods
- Avernox The Shadow King - Moon Elf archlich & God of Undeath. The Shadow King falls under this category due to the near-absolute control he holds over the Daidrin Gaiostone and his shadow lichdom. The people of Necropolis (and technically Old Cyrofel) worship him as a lesser deity. Ascended to godhood by absorbing the divine essence of Artassa the Wyrmking in a complicated ritual via the Daidrin Gaiostone. He currently seeks war with Danos over his domain of undeath.
Pagan Gods
Archfey, archdevils, demon lords, aquiprinces, archangels, Wyrmkings & other powerful immortals with at least a minor following of worshippers. These beings are the lowest of the divine ranking and are not considered true gods, but can ascend to the rank of Minor God through extraordinary means. These beings can typically be killed by other powerful beings, regardless of their faith & following.- Testudo the Wandering Shell - Tortle Fey God of Travel. The First Tortles were born when Gar'gomaut fucked a chunk of Torthan, spreading it to volcanic smitherines across the island. The pieces, whether on land or in the sea, formed into the first tortles, their arms, legs, tail & head poking out the sides like a hatching egg. These tortles knew not what life was and found themselves without a home, so they wandered. Some wandered into each other and mated to spread their race, and aged slower the more they traveled the land and sea. The First Tortles guided their people by the tenents of free global travel, gaining knowledge & experience wherever you went. Over their many years of existence (pre-Gigadragonomy), all but one of the First Tortles died out; this tortle was the most traveled of them all, and ascended to godhood in trust that the people he ushered into their place in the world would continue to follow his teachings. Testudo currently wanders the Aurovian Wilds, but makes ventures to the other realms as well.
- Savann the Elephant Queen - Loxodon Archfey of Peace
- Pronoxus the Pentaphant - Mammodon Demon Lord of War
- Thalonius the Twinned Terror - Red & Black Two-headed Demodragon, becomes a Pagan God/Demon Lord during and after Ascension of Thalonius
- Zaelim the Moonfather - Moon Elf Archfey
- Kranalla the Dank Mistress - Lizardfolk "Great Old One". Kranala is the only known immortal being not of this world. Rather, she is an alien lizard of powerful cerebral magic with vast, otherworldly collections of knowledge. It is her shared truths that imbued Balcazar's village with many of their big brain innovations. However, opening these pathways within the minds of her people drove them on their own pursuits of knowledge and innovation. Nowadays, they have a highly innovative fungal farming operation and several other innovations, all while Kranalla feeds on their knowledge via her swamp brain tendrils. The smarter they get, the danker their Mistress becomes. Cthesus the Mind Shepherd - Illithid (Mind Flayer) "Great Old One". He led a large pilgrimage of the rare arcane illithids, along with select non-arcane mind flayers, from the Underdark to the surface world, desiring mysteries and adventure outside of their isolated lives. Upon leaving the Underdark, their insidious appearance, psionic abilities and arcane gifts drew mistrust from everyone they encountered, leading to fear at best and violence at worst. Eventually, Cthesus and his most arcanely gifted followers cast a portal to the Skies of Hytheria, to which them and the other survivors hopped through. They established several small settlements amongst the mysterious mountainsides that lay beneath the clouds. Since Cthesus showed these illithids a new life and place to practice the arcane magic shunned by their Underdark brethren, they worshipped him as their Messiah, eventually crucifying him at the peak of their home mountain as the eye of a storm collapsed on him. Two days later, he returned to them as an immortal being; a Celestial Illithid imbued with celestial & storm magic. He spread this new subrace to his followers, changing them to have similar (though less powerful) abilities as his own.
Demigods
Children of god/mortal parents & powerful mortal/immortal beings. These beings are powerful and become more powerful with faith & followers, but can typically be killed like any mortal.- Viko - Half-Orc/Half-Sun Elf God of the Sun. Born to Thatos (as Lord Goruk, his demigod form) & Hyla/his Sun Elf mother. Rebels against Thatos at the start of the Perniam Wars, ascends to godhood and defeats Dahli at the end of the Perniam Wars.
