History of the Gaioforce
The Gaioforce is one of the four Elder Sources of magic governing the world of Gaion. It was believed to originate from the birth of the universe, where four celestial particles charged with reality-warping magic collided to create the world itself. As the world evolved over time and developed life, these four particles evolved with it to form the Elder Gods of the planet:
- T'Nar, the Elder God of Time
- Gaios, the Elder God of Space
- Aurovi, the Elder God of Life
- Denothis, the Elder God of Death
While it is unknown when the Elder Gods first rose, this event began the first known era of Gaion; the Age of Monsters. The Elder Gods ruled over their domains unchallenged, albeit in a primal, non-sentient way. Rather than operating like sentient deities, the four roamed the world as gargantuan beings:
- Aurovi took the form of a gargantuan mixture of organic matter, resembling various prehistoric flora and fauna. He spread new and existing forms of prehistoric life across the planet.
- Denothis took the form of a gargantuan corruption of organic matter, becoming the world's first Monster. He killed and corrupted Aurovi's lifeforms into monsters and undead beings, whose only purpose was to spread death.
- Gaios took the form of a gargantuan elemental being. He spread natural disasters and constantly terraformed the planet.
- T'Nar became sentient earlier than his brothers due to his domain over Time, taking a giant, but vaguely humanoid form. He observed his brothers' actions and collected information on the planet they helped develop.
Life during this time was savage and difficult, with the various prehistoric species constantly fighting for survival in this dangerous environment. Over time, the other Elder Gods gained the first signs of sentience. Sometime in the thousands of years before the era's end, Gaios used his dominion over the elements & the various creatures & monsters that Aurovi & Denothis created to form the next generation of deities, the Gigan Gods:
- Waryuk - Gigan Goddess of Water. She was a hybrid between a gargantuan sea serpent and an equally gargantuan kraken. She ruled the prehistoric seas with vicious power, and occasionally warred with Gathon in battles for dominion of Gaion (land or sea). Due to her ancient dominion over the seas, Waryuk is a common ancestor to all natural aquatic life.
- Gathon - Gigan God of Land. He was a gargantuan tortoise, with a shell harder than any material known to Gaion. When he moved, it was as if he was woven into the land itself, the hills and mountains rippling as he stomped across them. He spent his days traversing the prehistoric supercontinent, volcanic activity following in his wake. It is said that his travels, combined with occasional wars with Waryuk over dominion of Gaion (land or sea), carved the supercontinent into their modern day forms. Gathon is a common ancestor for Forest Dragons, Swamp Dragons, Arctic Dragons, land humanoids, and natural land creatures.
- Orva - Gigan Goddess of Sky. She was a gargantuan monster that resembled a draconic pterodactyl covered in crystalline spikes. Orva had undisputed domain over the atmosphere, conjuring storm systems as she flew across the globe and raining torrents of lightning from the skies and her spikes. This goddess occasionally warred with Maku by dousing his flames with her storms. Orva is a common ancestor to Storm Dragons, Solar Dragons, avian humanoids, and all natural avian creatures.
- Maku - Gigan God of Fire. He was a gargantuan, reptilian monster that looked like a cross between a dragon and a Tyrannosaurus Rex, specifically with the large forearms and wings of a dragon, the body of the T. Rex with draconic variations, and a draconic skull with two tusk-like horns protruding out. Maku had complete domain over fire, able to spout devastating flames from his mouth, horns, claws, and spikes. He could also superheat land and deep-buried magma enough to induce volcanic activity. Maku occasionally warred with Orva over dominion issues, whenever Maku's flames did too much damage to the atmosphere. Red Dragons, infernal humanoids, and all natural infernal creatures share Maku as a common ancestor.
With this move, the Elder Gods began a fiercer battle for dominion over the planet: Aurovi & Denothis warred with each other,, Gaios & his Gigan Gods, while T'Nar stayed neutral and observed the conflict. He used his powers to see into all possible futures from this point and determined the best course of action for the planet, which was to destroy Gaios and defeat his children. With this, he convinced Aurovi and Denothis to temporarily ally with each other and himself, leading the three brothers to a final conflict with Gaios.
The battle was so intense, land masses, seas & storms rose and fell with every blow. Countless species were birthed and wiped out across the planet with these Elder forces at play. Eventually, the battle carried up past the atmosphere, allowing the final blows to take place in space. Eventually, the three brothers defeated Gaios, channeling massive amounts of their own power through him to finally annihilate the Elder deity.
As he was destroyed, his body created an unstable singularity, which threatened to destroy Gaion if it wasn't contained. Since the singularity was made from his celestial power & their own, the three manipulated and split the event horizon into five swirling pools of cosmic power, eventually compressing them into the size of five asteroids. The elder deities used these asteroids for the first and last time, each for their own purposes:

- Aurovi created Arcia, a parallel dimension representing the domain of Life and parts of the ancient world strongest with his influence.
- Denothis created Dakia, a parallel dimension representing the domain of Death and parts of the ancient world strongest with his influence.
- T'Nar launched the asteroids back to the surface of the planet.
These asteroids became known as the Gaiostones, and their combined collisions with the planet (albeit in five different locations) kicked off the Gaioforce Extinction. It was this event, as well as the subsequent battles with the Gigan Gods, that wiped out most prehistoric life on the planet, with only the dragons & a handful of other species surviving to the modern era. However, the crash sites of the Gaiostones slowly absorbed the raw, unstable power of the stones, reducing many of them to the size of rocks that could fit in humanoid hands and imbuing the massive regions with their power. The power that seeped into Gaion's land and sea masses became collectively known as the Gaioforce, and operates as five distinct auras governing the cosmic essence of Space & all that encompasses it:
[the information above this bracketed message is considered only partially canon as of 10/11/2022]
- Garonis Aura - Matter (including organic matter due to Aurovi's influence). The Garonis Gaiostone landed in an oceanic trench in the Southeast corner of the world, later risen as the continent of Esgaron
- Goultani Aura - Energy (including lifeforce energy due to Aurovi's influence). The Goultani Gaiostone landed in the Sanhi Desert on the continent now known as Dalterra
- Rouzhai Aura - Antimatter. The Rouzhai Gaiostone landed in the central region of ancient Thagoria, plummeting deep into its volcanic surface.
- Blauri Aura - Dark Matter. The Blauri Gaiostone landed in the center of the Cenolic Ocean.
- Daidrin Aura - Dark Energy (including necromantic dark energy due to Denothis' influence). The Daidrin Gaiostone landed in the far north pole of ancient Cyregnor.
By the end of the Age of Monsters, the Gigan Gods were defeated; Orva & Gathon were killed by Aurovi & Denothis, respectively. Waryuk was imprisoned at the bottom of a mystical ocean in Arcia by Auvori's power, while Maku was imprisoned deep beneath the volcanic surface of Dakia by Denothis.
Last Known Locations of the Gaiostones
- Garonis Gaiostone - thrown to the Western Cenolic Ocean by Akana, creating the Seregan Islands.
- Goultani Gaiostone - forged within Thurgalir, the legendary axehammer once wielded by Hytheron, High God of the Skies. Last seen in possession of the dwarves, whose kingdoms lie in Southwestern Hythenos
- Rouzhai Gaiostone - forged within Bludbaine, the legendary greataxe once wielded by Thatos, High God of Chaos. Last seen in Banatar, a Dalterran city-state & the last Sun Elf sanctuary/remnant of the Solternian Empire.
- Blauri Gaiostone - forged within Akana's Trident, last seen in her possession after being used to rip the Garonis Gaiostone out of Gar'gomaut's chest, then submerged the entire continent of Esgaron beneath the sea.
- Daidrin Gaiostone - last seen in Cyregnor after Cyr used its power to stop the planet (and moon's) rotations and revolutions around the Sun (Gaion).
