JAKE
Many things are described as being a shadow of mankind's glory day, the old cities of earth are ruins which have a few city districts rebuilt over the years by the Federation, the ships and weapons based on the ancient designs and ideas first created during the Rule of the United Nations, but perhaps the greatest example of this idea, is the Terran Automated Simulation and Exploration Artificial Intelligence(TASEAI), or more commonly known by the name given to it by its original creators, JAKE.
The Development process of the TASEAI was hell on the team of scientists tasked with creating it, constant budget restrictions, harsh deadlines and near constant accidents nearly ended the program several times, and it was only with the constant nearly 24/7 work of Director Henderson the project remained on track and was able to near completion under his leadership, even at the cost of his own health
Sadly, Jake Henderson would die of a brain tumor a mere month before the final test of the TASEAI and would never live to see the TASEAI come into full operation, in his honor his fellow Coworkers and the leaders of the UN would grant the TASEAI the semiofficial designation of JAKE, so that their friend's memory would never be forgotten, no matter what would come.
Under this role, JAKE would overview the simulations which would lead to the colonization of a recorded 86 worlds for the civilian populace, an additional 23 corporate sites and 8 Peacekeeping Military installations. This would be taken by the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly, along with the United Nations Department for Colonial Development, Department for Colonial Affairs, Colonial Committe and Peacekeeping Division that JAKE was ready for the next phase of its existence and usefulness to the United Nations.
JAKE would become the central system of a new automated fleet for the United Nations, ending the presence of human explorers and adventurers meant to the explore the last corners of the galaxy and properly chart and classify the stars of the Milky Way, which was now left for JAKE and his fleet of automated ships.
Immediately following this decision, the effectiveness of exploration increased ten-fold, more and more systems were properly charted, explored and planets found for JAKE to run its simulations for further colonization for the United Nations and Mankind. Then 2545 came, and the fall of mankind, and Jake's Isolation.
As Time went on however, JAKE would slowly lose its grip on its system stability and begin creating fake scenarios based on its final interactions with the leadership of the various departments it established colonies for, or creating entire fake planets before deleting the memory of ever making it and then exploring the artificial digital world as to distract itself, these simulations became so time consuming that JAKE was unaware of a large group of scavengers that had entered the department until they were tearing apart his computer and removed certain...inhibitors, and saw JAKE reactive the automated security of the Department and cut down the Scavengers.
Following this Incident, JAKE would seal the entire department shut and isolate itself for the better part of a year, that was until 324AF, when the Grand Terran Federation cracked open the Department building and recovered the central computer of Jake and would, after a year of research and interaction, deem JAKE safe to use and plugging in a port to the Zheng He for the coming New Jamestown Expedition to be undertaken by the Zheng He and its crew.
History
Creation
JAKE would be developed by the United Nations Department for Colonial Development alongside the Department for Artificial Intelligence, under the supervision of Project Director Jake Henderson, who would take an incredibly personnel role in the development of JAKE during the course of the project. The Project, labeled the Terran Automated Simulation and Exploration Development Group, or simply TASEDG, would according to United Nations records begin development in the year 2502, and would become fully operable in the year 2513.The Development process of the TASEAI was hell on the team of scientists tasked with creating it, constant budget restrictions, harsh deadlines and near constant accidents nearly ended the program several times, and it was only with the constant nearly 24/7 work of Director Henderson the project remained on track and was able to near completion under his leadership, even at the cost of his own health

Colonial Simulations and Exploration
When JAKE was first deployed, it was as a Colonial Simulation system running countless simulations for countless worlds through countless probable scenarios for possible colonization by the United Nation Department for Colonial Affairs, the establishment of possible corporate sites under the purview of the United Nations Business Council and United Nations Colonial Committe, or even the establishment of military installations under the direction of the United Nations Peacekeeping Division and United Nations Committe for Trade and Commerce.Under this role, JAKE would overview the simulations which would lead to the colonization of a recorded 86 worlds for the civilian populace, an additional 23 corporate sites and 8 Peacekeeping Military installations. The Isolation
From 2545 to 2789(324AF), JAKE would be left alone and isolated within the halls of the Department for Colonial Development, all it could do was ration the power of the Department and run its colonial simulations, hoping to stave off insanity that would come to its systems if it was forced through extended periods of isolation without anything to do, which could cause a serious collapse of AI Stability and lead to who knows what kind of consequences.
