Crom Dubh (crumb dove)

Alignment: Chaotic Good   Divine Domains: Life, Light, Nature, Twilight   Divine Authority: The Sun, Stars, Constellations, Fertility, Harvest, Family   God of the Sun and Fertility Crom Dubh is an enigma. He has never shown his proper form, preferring to take on various shapes in his depictions. His most commonly seen is an arrangement of stones, one golden and 12 mundanes, with an ethereal body around them.   During the Golden Age, he helped guide the peoples of the world through agricultural development as well as family development. Being the deity of the Sun, he gave light to the day and warmth for their activities. Crom is also responsible for many constellations that dot the night sky, most of which have been lost due to the Dark Age.   During the Dark Age, Crom took a turn. When brother and sister turned on one another, Crom grew bitter despite his efforts to stop the Fallen. Seeing as he was not a God of War, his aid was limited; one of the ways he did this was by creating the Dullahan. These death Fae were made in the hopes of shepherding the lost souls of the dead during the Dark Age. They would find these people and escort their souls to Anubis and Osiris so they may move on to the afterlife, ideally one far away from the Fallen. To this day, while he is still a bit bitter about the Dark Age, Crom still shines his sunlight on the world while ensuring those who pray to him have a bountiful harvest.   Holy Day: Crom Dubh's holy day is known as Solar Summit. It takes place on the 22nd of Hyperion during the summer solstice. On this day, followers of Crom gather in an open area, ideally a field, to begin preparations for a festival. Followers of Crom will spend this day feasting on the fruits Crom provides and dancing to chant their praises to the God of Fertility. The festival lasts until the last light rays, where a final dance occurs in a special ritual circle.   Commandments of Crom Dubh
  • Change is key to life. The world is ever-changing; one must adapt to whatever the seasons bring.
  • Crops don't bend to the lazy. If something is worth doing, you must be persistent and never give up until harvest.
  • Light and dark are two sides of the same coin. There is power in shadows that can aid in the world, but never stray too far from the light or face the wrath of Crom.
