Sekhmet

Alignment: Chaotic Good   Divine Domain: Healing, Animals   Divine Authority: Healing, Animals, Nature, Health,   Sekhmet is the goddess of Healing and Animals, a patron of healers and animals. In the Golden Age, Sekhmet was a calm healer who visited settlements, teaching those with the art of healing, whether by magic or by physical means, and creating animals to populate the woods and forests of the world till such things were accomplished and by then, she was settled in with her Sister Bastet assisting her.   When the Dark Age happened, Sekhmet fought on the side of the Guardians and left her sister's side to take the fight to the Fallen. In doing so, she would, for a time, bolster many of the followers of the Guardians with the animals she helped create, as well as healing on the frontline of the god war, during which her fury and anger would be added. After the Dark Age, now stuck outside the barrier, she speaks to her followers and guides them in their dreams.   Holy Day: The holy day of Sekhmet is on the 23rd day of Shu after the equinox and is called The Feast of Nature. On this day, the followers of Sekhmet will prepare a great feast to start the end of winter for the whole town and to celebrate another year of survival with the animals that Sekhmet has blessed the woods with, providing food and furs for the settlements. The day is spent preparing the feast; her followers prepare a separate portion of food to give to the animals in the forest as thanks to Sekhmet and to serve as a way to fatten up the animals more for the coming hunting season.   In preparation for this festival, the followers of Sehkmet, at the end of the hunting and harvest season, will purchase many of the animals that the Followers of Artemis hunt and a number of the crops farmers make and preserve them in preparation for this feast.   Commandments of Sekhmet
  • Respect nature and the animals that live in it
  • Offer healing to those who need it
  • Slay The monsters of Scylla and the followers of Carmen as one makes mockeries of nature and the other blights it.
