Rattlegrass Island

By far the largest island in the land of Galandria, Rattlegrass Island received its name from the vast grasslands that make up most of its interior, where the sound of dry grass blowing in the wind creates a haunting rattle that echoes across the plains. Home to the highest mountains, the northernmost point, and the coldest temperatures in all of Galandria, Rattlegrass Island's geography is one of much variety. Its geographical variety is matched only by the variety of its inhabitants spread between six states, including the grand Yuan-Ti Kerez Empire and its vassals. Conflict has arisen in recent years, however, and rapidly declining relations between the Grand Duchy of Nenemar and the rest of the island have sparked an invasion from Kerez.
