The Retter der Menschheit, a German-made colony ship of European colonists, is launched from Earth.
With the impending third world war on Earth and the fears of nuclear annihilation in the year 2034 AD, various organizations banded together to build colony ships in an attempt to preserve humanity. One of these colony ships, designated the Retter der Menschheit, launched from Germany just two months before the war ended in annihilation in 2036. This colony ship held a variety of persons from various western European countries that, during the ship's long travel time, formed into a full community of its own.
