In the year 203 AU, planning and preparation for a large government-sponsored expeditionary project began, with Edward Jameson at the forefront of the project. Over the course of two years personnel were recruited and a fleet of military escort and scientific research vessels was put together. This fleet and these persons were officially named the 'Jameson Expeditionary Fleet' and on May 12, 205 AU, the fleet launched from Mars and began their journey through uncharted space.
