Five years after the Jameson Expedition, a new leader in the scientific community came forward with a plan to explore uncharted space: Samuel Larigo. Armed with new advances in drive, survey, and weapons technology, Larigo formed a new team of personnel and vessels over the course of a few years - A group named the Larigo Expeditionary Fleet. Partially funded by the government and backed by multiple corporations, the expedition began their voyage on February 23, 220 AU, travelling in the general direction of the Milky Way galaxy's center.
