Negarian

An expert from the field journal and report of Astrologer Neil Tyoos

When I came to the Negarian continent, the last thing I truly expected was the depth at which the tribal people understood their astronomy. I am one of many who have heard the rumors and mythos the dark skin men have, but that is just the surface. Using rudimentary tools and techniques, each tribe has similar yet personalized tellings of heavens above. For example, the Fulgbo of the western and central plateaus call the Aka’s Eye Kpakpando Ugwu, - directly translated to Northern Star or Mountain Star - and claim it is the eye of Kpak, the defender of the heavens. In turn, the Ban people of the southern savannah call the same star iTlhagwini Pasika – directly translated to Northern Lord – and is the gate way to the heavens.
Connected are continued notes about each tribes’ distinct star maps, along with a proposal to remap the tribal territories. The ones I used were not exactly helpful.

Culture

Average technological level

Many are still tribal, fallowing the paths of their ancestors, but their written and oral knowledge is more extensive than any cities.
The tribal people are well known for their uncanny memory and detailed accounts of long ago affairs. The many battles, squrmishs, and attempted colonization of the fertile soil haven't diminished it a bit.
Their star stories are descriptive and informative, many used as guides and as omens. Their religions have been based primarily on the stars, and they are a common use of travel median.

Major organizations

Negarian is a common term for the peoples from the sub-content of Negar. The content, and thus its peoples, are extremely diverse in politics, religion, and, well, most everything. They do share a common language system, if not different dialect per tribe.
