Vasili of Alhat Crossing
Alhat Crossing is a place steeped in mystery and secrets. The small hamlet is hidden away in the heart of a dense and humid tropical forest, accessible only by a winding, narrow river. Its population is almost exclusively made up of the Caluan people who worship the Siroccan Pantheon. The Vasili who leads this place, Archie Admuril, is known to be a reclusive and enigmatic figure.
Alhat Crossing is a hub for underground trade and transportation, thanks to its elaborate system of tunnels that run beneath the settlement. Few outsiders have ever been allowed to enter these tunnels, and even fewer have emerged with any knowledge of their secrets. The hamlet itself is small and unassuming, with modest buildings and a simple marketplace. But there is an air of secrecy and mistrust that hangs over the place, as though the locals are always wary of outsiders and their intentions.
The river on which the settlement rests is vital to its survival, providing water and a means of transportation for the few traders and travelers who make it this far into the dense forest. But it is also a source of danger, as rumors persist of deadly creatures lurking in the water and the surrounding jungle. For those brave enough to venture into Alhat Crossing, it is a place shrouded in mystery and the unknown, full of potential rewards and perilous risks.

Population: Approximately 400; mixed dwarf and gnome. Government: Alhat Crossing is governed by the priests of the village temple.
Notable Places:
The Pavilion of Revelry: A two-storey half-timbered theatre, said to be haunted by the ghost of a mummer. The Warrior's Pub: A neglected adventurer's inn, known for its impossible variety of beers and ales. The Guildhall: A large timber and brick building, decorated with a glazed-tile roof. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local merchant guilds.

Gale: Female Gnome Scofflaw, Neutral. Gale has an angular face, with long silver hair and green eyes. She wears modest garments and carries an oak staff. Gale has a terrible sense of direction. Mantie: Female Gnome Cleric, Neutral. Mantie has curly grey hair and light hazel eyes. She wears banded mail and wields a quarterstaff. Mantie is adaptable and irreverent. Wealda: Male Human Scholar, Neutral. Wealda is pleasant in appearance, with braided grey hair and dark amber eyes. He wears well-made clothing and silk gloves. Wealda is practical and pleasant.
