Overview

A displaced people who have faced numerous hardships and challenges in their history. Once inhabitants of a lush and prosperous region known as Elowen, they were forced to abandon their homeland due to catastrophic events. Today, they are known as skilled artisans, resilient survivors, and nomadic traders who travel across the various regions of Galmora.

Many Eluwyn harbor a deep sense of loss and longing for their homeland. Their memory and loss of Elowen is passed through the generations with the hope of one day returning to or restoring it is a central theme in their culture.   Craftsmanship: The Eluwyn are masters of their crafts, creating unique and beautiful items that blend practicality with artistry. Music and Storytelling: Their rich tradition of music, dance, and storytelling is a vibrant part of Galmoran culture. Festivals featuring Eluwyn performers are highly anticipated events. Magical Knowledge: The Eluwyn possess a deep understanding of certain magical practices, particularly those related to protection, healing, and enchantment. They are often sought after for their wisdom and expertise.

Art & Architecture

The Eluwyn travel in caravans across Galmora, moving between towns and cities. They have adapted to a life on the move, setting up temporary camps and markets. Known for their exquisite craftsmanship, the Eluwyn create and trade high-quality goods such as textiles, jewelry, pottery, and magical items. Their goods are highly sought after across Galmora.

Coming of Age Rites

Coming-of-age ceremonies are significant in Eluwyn culture. These rites of passage, known as the "Veil Walk," celebrate the transition from childhood to adulthood, emphasizing personal growth and the acceptance of one’s true self.

Common Taboos

As a displaced people, the Eluwyn often face suspicion and prejudice from settled populations. They are sometimes blamed for local misfortunes or seen as outsiders. Constantly on the move, the Eluwyn struggle with finding stability and security. They must navigate the dangers of the road, including bandits, wild beasts, and natural hazards.

Historical figures

Eldara Windrider: A charismatic leader and skilled diplomat, Eldara was instrumental in securing alliances and trade agreements for the Eluwyn. She dreamed of finding a new permanent home for her people.   Thalion Starweaver: A renowned artisan and mage, Thalion's creations are famed across Galmora. He uses his craft to keep the Eluwyn's culture alive and to support his community.   Lyria Nightshade: A healer and storyteller, Lyria preserves the history and traditions of the Eluwyn through her tales and songs. She plays a crucial role in maintaining the morale and unity of her people.

Ideals

Gender Ideals

Personal identity is highly respected among the Eluwyn. Individuals are encouraged to express themselves authentically, and their chosen gender identities and expressions are honored within the community. The Eluwyn view gender as fluid and emphasize equality. Roles and responsibilities are not strictly assigned based on gender, allowing individuals to pursue their interests and talents without societal constraints.

Relationship Ideals
