Birth & Baptismal Rites
It is quite an event when an Abassy is born so, the expectant mother is usually moved to the Wild Gate. She is allowed to bring whoever she'd like to bring. Mother and baby will stay there with all needs taken care of until the baby is about a month old. At that time, they are both escorted by the Emet and/or Essir to their home and given provisions if needed.
Coming of Age Rites
The Rifila is the day an Abassy turns 10 and is thought to be a man.
Funerary and Memorial customs
On the western end of Aughzdel, near the border of Skelaldon and Typhon Field, lies Valha, the burial ground of the three areas. The Abassy allowed warriors and civilians alike to bury their loved ones there.
Common Taboos
The Abassy don't have many rules or laws, but most do revolve around taking care of their people and people outside of Aughzdel. The taboos revolve around their treatment of females and children. No force, no manipulation, and absolutely no violence toward them.
Historical figures
Emet Ulric - Nevin Annysu's father - is probably the most significant ruler in Shylerinthian history. His brother Marcellus was equally as beloved by Shylerinth as a whole.

Beauty Ideals
Most Abassy adopt a facade that makes them appear to be more "human" than Abassy as to attract women of other species.
Gender Ideals
Abassy highly respect women and treat them as equals. Responsibilities and chores alike are shared between the two.
Courtship Ideals
Abassy tend to wait for the female to approach them first before making their feelings known. She would be choosing a life with an Abassy and that is something that's not taken lightly by them. They give all of the choice to the female.
