Early Life

Galoria was born to two of the most powerful angels, Galor and Seraphim. Angels were never meant to feel anything let alone have carnal desires or families, but Galoria's parents conceived her nonetheless and changed the universe forever.   As the daughter of two people forbidden to be together, Galoria was already off to a rough start when she was born. Her birth was an impossibility and no one wanted anything to do with her. Her mother had her duties to tend to and her father wanted the respect of his peers more so she was dropped into the arms of Batiel and Torvin, angels who'd lost their wings in combat. They were honorable, but couldn't perform anymore so they was essentially thrown away. They shared that with Galoria and became a family. Soon Galoria was developing feelings for Torvin, the younger of the two and the more easygoing, less soldierly one. Batiel was their leader, their father figure and Galoria and Torvin were the unruly children he'd have to corral.   Torvin and Galoria were together until Michael and Gabriel were dispatched to rid the world of all Fallen. They slayed Batiel and Torvin as she watched, holding her 13-year-old son Sandalphon in her arms. A few months passed before she gave birth to her daughter and named her Batya in honor of her father Batiel. She died the morning after, leaving her young son and newborn daughter alone.

In the Series

Galoria is already long dead by the time Glory of the Nephilim starts, but she is very much present in Nora Barker's mind. She helps her deal with Kyra and the rest of the more unruly others. Her wisdom and kindness have gotten many queens through a lot of hard times and Nora is no different. Galoria warns her about those she doesn't trust, but respects when Nora doesn't listen, which is most of the time. With Nora's newly found independence and strength, she is starting to fade. It's predicted that she may not be audible to Sarah much longer.
