Regent JaySeaBoom , DoR (Defender of the Realm)

JaySeaBoom is the current Regent of House Mollusca. Once one of the Inkies , she rose to assume the House Leadership when The Cosmic Kraken Coffee Quills disappeared after The Third Word War (and is assumed dead) and their successor, Starborn Striker was required to step aside from House leadership in favour of other duties. She, too, is a Werekraken , and her background is also mysterious. She was an orphan who found herself in the Zafforza Trench and among the Molluscans in her childhood, and knows no other family.

General Physical Condition

JaySea is very active and is in excellent physical health.

Body Features

JaySeaBoom displays features in her humanoid form that suggest merfolk ancestry, although there are some traits present which might almost be described as draconic. She always has octopus tentacles, even in her humanoid form, like all known werekrakens, although in her case, two of them become legs. Her skin shimmers and is adapted to a fully aquatic life. She breathes both water and air.

Identifying Characteristics

The Regent's skin has bright, attractive blue mottling that shows bioluminscence in dim light in her humanoid form. In octopoid form, her skin is blue with purple mottling. Her eyes are a bright, amethyst purple, regardless of what form she's in.

Special abilities

No one knows for sure what, if any, special abilities the Regent has at her disposal. It is widely known that she is a Literomancer, and she is certainly competent with her chosen weapon. What other magical powers she has remains unknown.

JaySea carries a unique double-bladed axe in her humanoid form. She has seen more battle above the surface than below.

JaySeaBoom first came to the attention of House Mollusca by getting into trouble. She was an orphan swimming around the Zafforza Trench, thieving to survive, and particularly difficult to catch.
Eventually she came to the attention of the Cosmic Kraken, who figured she needed something productive to do. Initially she was recruited as a troubleshooter for Molluscan security. Delighted to be included, and given an important job, she became fiercely loyal to Coffee Quills, and eventually volunteered to become an Inky. She earned some renown in fighting the strange monsters that plagued House Mollusca regularly beneath the sea, and saw some action on the surface, keeping the monsters out of major estuaries.
She had no idea what she had gotten herself into. The Third Word War was devastating for House Mollusca. While a valuable alliance was made by the Scion of the House, Starborn Striker, which led to Mollusca providing sanctuary for House Chiroptera after their Fall, the reinforcements did not save them when the Undead Horde came.
Most of the Inkies, and Coffee Quills themself, fell to the Horde, including JaySea. Coffee Quills was forced to pass the power of the Cosmic Kraken to Starborn Striker before he was ready, to keep it out of the hands of the Undead.
As JaySeaDoom, the Undead Inky was a menace to the living, particularly living Molluscans. She had a penchant for biting ankles, possibly influenced by FoxxWrither.
Once resurrected, and returned to the sea, House Mollusca began the long and difficult process of picking up the pieces. Coffee Quills had disappeared, and is presumed dead; so had several of the Inkies. Starborn Striker was overwhelmed with dealing with his new powers, and Daciana Wolfkeeper tried to hold the House Regency for a time, but found it impossible to do so while guiding Scion Striker and protecting the world from the monsters of the deep. JaySea ended up assuming the Regency, largely because she was the only one left who could do so.
She participated in the action to raise power for the evacuation of the 1337 Speak Reality, and is currently seeking a way to lend aid.
Still, there may be more to this mysterious kraken than meets the eye. She is, after all, a kraken...

Mental Trauma

JaySea is used to being self-reliant, having grown up without a family support system. Therefore, she is probably coping with the current situation she finds herself in better than most. She struggles with uncertainty and self-doubt in her position, since she is not a Cosmic Kraken and wonders in her heart if she has what it takes to lead. She often overthinks things before a making a decision.
