Khurvan

The Khurvan are a group of new-folk who live in the desert to either side of the Yellow River Canyon. They claim all of that land as their own. In general, they are friendly to travellers provided those travellers are respectful to them and acknowledge their ownership of the land. They attack those who aren't respectful and will kill or chase them out of their lands. Very little is actually known about the Khurvan. They are not known for inviting travellers to spend time with them, so few have been able to report much on their customs. Those who have encountered Khurvan say that they are able to blend in with their surroundings, their striped skin changing colour. Travellers have said they are usually mostly naked, presumably to aid their camouflage. They are usually armed with spears, bows, and crossbows. Travellers have also reported that Khurvan often have numerous giant lazzars with them and seem to revere the animals greatly. They will not allow outsiders to approach their lazzars.
