The Qallah River

The Qallah River

The Qallah maintains such an important role in Garn, its the primary route for both trade and military actions.
- Abdul Kamahl, 1st Eye of Cronus
The Qallah River, commonly referred to as The Qallah, is a large river that splits Garn into two major portions, the north and south. To get across The Qallah, one must first get to either Gallah or the town just north of Gallah named Qassah, there a ferry system has been put in place for people to move livestock, wagons, and themselves across the great river.

Trade Significance

The Qallah holds a great significance with merchants for the sole reason that its the most prosperous way to move merchandise throughout Garn. Merchants commonly start in either Jeliak or Keliak, then take a ship to Gallah where they sell most of their wares in The Grand Bazaar, while there they'll purchase more items then head back north via ship.

Military Significance

The Qallah acts as a natural border between northern Garn and southern Garn, and in several instances has been the deciding factor in a war, such as during The Battle of Gallahduring the Great War. While Shivar dominates most of south Garn, they’ve been unable to pass Gallah and cross the Qallah River.
