Kinko structures on the Dark side

Much like the domes on the Bright side, the Kinkos were build by a long lost civilization native to Garuda. The material is the same - durable, stress resistant and lightweight, white in color and organized in an organic, web-like structure. However the shape of the Kinkos is much different - they resemble giant mushrooms with wide caps, interconnected by narrow bridges. Each of them is about 20 meters tall and the cap is 30 meters in diameter. They follow the height of the terrain, making beautiful overlapping cascades that end just above the ocean.   The material Kinkos are made of is still somewhat of a mystery. The analysis showed it's carbon-based, but the technology was never discovered. The early efforts to disassemble parts of the structures were unsuccessful, but an incident involving a bunch of unruly youngsters revealed that gastric acid can separate tubes at the joints. Although the group was severely scolded, this led to a monumental breakthrough. Quickly thereafter, another peculiar ability of the material was discovered - two tubes treated with saline solution will quickly merge together like they were never two separate parts.   The settlers quickly realized these structures make a lot of sense, because the tides devour almost 30% of the flatland. If the rocky coast was not uninviting enough, this certainly made it completely unusable. Combined with the danger of ever-lurking Ochtuhli, settlers decided to start their colony on the top of the Kinkos.   They quickly realized most of these platoes were ideal for farming. With some adjustments, even for living. Unfortunately, the bridges were obviously not made for gravity-abiding bi-pedals so they had to be dismantled and rebuild from scratch. Settlers rarely leave the Kinkos. The structures are incredibly firm, so five out of seven cities are built on top of them. The remaining two cities reside on the mountain sides and serve as administrative and government centers.   The highest positioned Kinko serves as an observatory and a living area for the Skygazers.
