SC2020 - Wratazi (Tsunami)

During a solar Eclipse a small tremor was felt in SC2020 - Jekross. That small tremor was a massive earthquake taking place out in the ocean. As it was the time of high tide, the earthquake caused a massive tsunami that wiped out a significant part of the population and swept away most of the alterations made to the dome an the other alien structures. This has left a bare white skeleton, reminiscent of the days when the settlers first arrived. Furthermore, Jekross was a huge agricultural site and the tsunami came just before the harvest and there is a very real thread of widespread starvation in the surrounding area and food shortage across the Bright Side.
The meaning of Wratazi depends on who you ask. While some, especially Dark Siders, view it as just an unfortunate natural phenomenon, many religious sects point to it happening during an eclipse as proof of divine intervention and see it as the wrath of the gods. What they are angry about differs depending on who you ask:

• The gods are angry that the Bright Siders are interacting with the Dark Sider heathens
• The desecration of the gods monuments (alien structures) have incurred the wrath of the Gods.

In the wake of the catastrophe, Dark Side organizations have offered emergency relief. However, many Bright Siders are skeptical. There is a Cold War going on between the two sides and it is a public secret that the Dark Siders are looking for a foothold on the new continent. This also means that people looking to keep the Dark Siders out will happily encourage the religious fanatics in all their hatred towards the heathen Dark Siders. Many religious factions also want the city rebuild as a temple to the gods, leaving the intact alien structures unharmed and unaltered to stand in eternal praise of the gods. This is not a new agenda. However, it was always deemed a fanatic pipe-dream, because of all the infrastructure build around the old alien skeleton.
