Ice Elves

After creating most of elves dedicate to war, work, entertainment and so on, Xylian Dominion attempted another secret project, for some reason launched in utmost secrecy, with its exact date unknown. It is believed that they created special subspecies through both geneengineering and crossbreeding them with daemons. Thus creating subspecies in which both biology and magic were combined to create something unique.
Ice Elves were one of such subspecies, created with ice magic in mind and settled in the place that fit them the most - on Scavian Peninsula, where they were capable of living due to sufficiently low temperatures, that ice elves require to live. There they managed to propagate at least a bit, in means unknown, since they are a specie rather unknown. They existed as a closed caste of priestesses serving the sorcerer-kings of Vanorlan until the kingdom eventual demise. After that they fled north, in unknown way subjugating razors, beastmen and snow elves living on a frozen wastes of Scavia, forging Ice Kingdoms.
Since that they rule over the lands of Scavia with iron fist, terrible magicks and their religious authority. Their unity is... strange, to say at least, since they follow their doctrine with absolutely loyalty, with not a single case of ice elf changing side to the Imperium. Considering the utmost secrecy of their 'order', next to nothing is known about them, especially with their bodies quickly collapsing into pure ice postmortem making autopsy impossible. It is also impossible to vivisect them, since they were never taken alife, always commiting suicide via magic.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Their bodies are made of ice in a variety of variants, with most surprising abilities that allow them to immitate various parts of body, for example bone, flesh, blood and so on. Despite having a bodily temperature of around -10C they are alive - their hearts pump blood, lungs gather oxygen and so on.
It is unknown if they actually eat or defecate, since they tend to live in a complete separation from lesser species and, of course, no men ever managed to notice them doing this. They are severely weakened in positive temperature. It is probable that if taken to a desert or tropical area they would actually die, but it was never proven.
As an interesting curio, their blood is navy blue.

Genetics and Reproduction

Believed to reproduce in two ways. First way is via sexual (possibly) contact with some kinds of ice daemons inhabiting Scavia, that end up with the birth of new ice elf - or at least that's how imperial scholars try to explain the fact that Ice Kingdoms never runned out of genocidal ice sorcerers.
The second way is via having sex with male elves of other subspecies, which leads to birth of children of that other subspecies but with powerful, inborn talent for ice magic and surprisingly cold bodies. Such children are treated on the North as an equivalent of demigod heroes from ancient hellan lore.

Ecology and Habitats

Negative temperature is a must, on the other hand they seem to passively lower temperature around them, sometimes causing years long winters when they attempt to invade Niflheim.

Believed to have some sort of special connection with snow and ice, capable of feeling when they are somehow disturbed (for example because of someone marching through it), but the exact distance of this power is unknown and might depend on age or magical talent.
