Cozner Kevin-Kevin
As the nephew of Stavrik Kevin-Kevin ,Cozner grew up sailing the Vast. Raised by his uncle since the death of his mother and father--along with all hands--in the shipwreck of the Palm of Baena, Cozner proved himself to be an excellent sailor and a capable, if disinterested, merchant. He seemed poised to become a vital contributor to the family businesses and interests.
That was not to be Cozner's life, however. A particularly brutal storm knocked him overboard one dark evening as he was sailing aboard his famous family's flagship vessel, the HMS Kevin. Presumed lost at sea, Cozner was considered to have joined his parents in "Rhagtar's embrace" and mourned by his shipmates and relations.
But Cozner was not lost. A band of Merfolk found his unconscious, drowning body and saved him, inscribing his skin with benevolent magic tattoos that enabled Cozner to breath underwater and marking him as "one of the Sun Drenched."
Viewing his presence in their reef as a blessing of Otuna, they invited Cozner to spend a season among them. He did so, learning of their ways and becoming adept at the particular form of martial arts they practice. After a time, and with the blessing of the Sun Drenched (along with a promise by Cozner to return), he left their reef to make his way back to Luu and to his uncle.
That, also, was not to be Cozner's life, as he was Displaced into the Phantom Sea of @Myr. Now, Cozner works as an able seaman aboard various vessels as he figures out a way to return to his families--both the Sun Drenched and the Kevin-Kevins.
