Star Search

A Near Space talent show, targeting audiences in the Pact Worlds and the Veskarium specifically. Winners stand to gain 10,000 credits and a limited contract with Star Search's premier label.
Show format:

Limited Auditions (streamed, brief routines around 2 minutes, in front of panel of judges, 16 contestants are chosen, 4 for each judge)

Clash Round (paired off with another contestant by coach judge, dance-off elimination, determined by coach judge and audience votes, 8 contestants eliminated)

Collaboration Round (partner dance performance with coach judge, determined by audience votes and other judges, 4 contestants eliminated)

The Finale (one contestant per judge, determined completely by audience vote).

Current Coaches:

Dominick Solis. Early 40s, Human, he/him. Famous electro-wave pop singer who began his career over twenty years ago. Versatile and genre-blurring singing style. Has been a coach since season 4; won season 6, 7, and 11.

Tara the Redeemer. Mid 50s, Vesk, she/her. A veteran of the Swarm invasion of 291 AG; she participated in one of the first Veskarium-Pact Worlds joint military options against the Swarm in Zo, a spaceport on Triaxus. Sustained an injury in the line of duty and retired to civilian life. With her new celebrity status, she decided to pursue her dream of being a dancer. Strength-based, rhythmic style. Has been a coach since season 8; won season 10.

Tussle Aurumclaw. Mid 20s, Pahtra, he/him. Action movie actor and award winning anti-gravity ballet dancer. Flexibility and acrobatic style. Season 13 is his first season as a coach.

Motion. Android, she/her. Began her career in a popular Android music group called Rhythmic. After the group parted ways, she started her own creative studio with the express purpose of dispelling and combating prejudices in the world of entertainment. A mix of precision and expressive styles. Has been a coach since season 10; has not yet won a season.
