Ael Sangalo Kobeer
Ael Sangalo Kobeer, The Sanguine Cobra, is a Homuerto soldier that has appeared in the past few years and is part of a rather troubling direction Homuerto raiding parties seem to be going in.
One of several soldiers that have earned names for themselves from the right-minded militaries of the world for their higher than average combat prowess and tactical ability. They have lead devastating raids, and captured tens of thousands of pounds worth of gold in arms, equipment, and people. We know what the Homuerto do to the people they take, but they've never shown a need or want of material of war.
This forces us to the conclusion that the Homuerto have once again advanced their understanding, and through these new soldiers realize that robbing us of our means to fight is another way to effectively destroy us.
The Viper has done this, all this and more, but his true reputation has been born on the battlefield.
While he hasn't been present during a Misery, thankfully, his skills are plain to see during his raids. From the descriptions I have gathered, it almost seems that he could conduct them on his own, with no backup whatsoever. With blade, pistol, and an Eidos in the form of a flaming serpent that gives him half of his title, he has laid waste to towns almost singlehandedly. Entire garrisons are threatened by his presence.
He has a tendency to appear amongst his target, along with his other raiders, before laying waste.
There are varying accounts of the number of soldiers and civilians that the Cobra is responsible for the death or capture of, but after only a couple years of recognized operation, it's theorized to be in the thousands.
In Art
The best way to identify the Cobra is through the metal mask that he is known to wear.
It takes after the war masks of the Sonuero, and in fact, may have been taken off of one.
His has long since been modified, showing large sections of extensive filing and hack marks around the eyes and mouth.
A rather useful tool in the handful of depictions that exist out there.
