Asinus Culture Public knowledge

The Asinus culture as known by the other races.
Fashion: The Asinus people have an eclectic wardrobe as a result of exposure to the many cultures that dot the land. One common theme that can be observed is their tendency for bright colors and function. The need for function to adapt to their unique physiological quirk of shapeshifting into beasts of burden.   Travel packs are positioned lower on the back. Garments fit looser. Hand covers (if they choose to wear any) are made of rugged materials. These are but some common adjustments that they employ for their everyday lives.
Travel: The Asinus people are well known for their wanderlust and penchant for trade. This results in the Asinus to be found throughout the continent. They can be found traveling alone but most often they prefer the company of others. Travelers tend to allow at least one Asinus into their group if nothing else, for their ability to carry large amounts of supplies in their beast form.   Community: Much of the Asinus culture is passed on through verbal tradition. Many lessons of morality are taught through the stories revolving around a group of Asinus children called the "Heroic Seven" as they use their skills, wit, and shrewd business sense to survive out in the wilds. There are also more formal lessons known as "The Rules of Business" and "The Tenants of Trade" which help guide the Asinus people when doing business and interacting with other cultures.   When out in the wild, it is common for traveling Asinus' to talk at length about current events when they cross paths. This creates an organic information network That allows news to spread where other means of communication may fail.   There are also Asinus' who have set roots into the various towns and cities. Also known as "Setting up shop". An Asinus' permanent home is their store and can act as a point of sale for traveling Asinus looking to trade their wares before moving on to their next destination.
Architecture: Asinus Architecture tends to match the surrounding culture but are physically bigger to allow for movement regardless what form they are in. Buildings tend to be only a single floor tall with an attached covered stable. Ramps usually replace stairs between floors in case of multi-level buildings.   Values: Unlike other races, who hold the amount of wealth that one can collect as perferable, the Asinus people hold value as the metric to measure one's worth. Everything in their society revolves around this.  This is not the same as how much money one can make in their profession. One selling candy to a child can be considered of equal merit as a blacksmith selling a blade to an adventurer. The blacksmith obviously earned a greater amount of money but they both provided the same amount of value to their clients.   It is easier for others to simplify this world view down to "how much trade an Asinus can accomplish or help to accomplish".   Language: It is believed that the Asinus do hold their own language when in beast form but no Asinus has officially confirmed this. Outside of this, the Asinus can speak the same languages as any other race.   Familial ties: The Asinus do recognize their biological family but their ties to their fellow workers seem to be stronger. Often their identity is linked to their mentor and work rather than their bloodline.   Self Governance: While the Asinus are bound to local rules and rulership. It is rumored that they also follow the orders of an unknown council rumored to represent the leadership of the various trade guilds. The Asinus have not confirmed the existence of such a shadowy entity.   Merchants: Asinus merchants are ubiquitous throughout the contenent. They tend to hold a deep interest to their clients needs and wants and do what they can to fill them, within reason of course. They are also commonly found with at least one animal companion which commonly draws the attention of the merchants next client.   Rumors: It is widely believed that the Asinus people are contagious with some form of virus that is responsible for their shape shifting tendencies.
