ColdCoat

Native to the Dark side of Ayr, Coldcoats are an apex predator among the wildlife that make up much of the dark side. Their sleep cycle is more “stretched” than that of most creatures, oftentimes sleeping for weeks at a time before prowling about for weeks awake. They can completely bury themselves in snowbanks and other high-snowfall areas as a means of camouflage and protection while they sleep. This behavior, in combination with their ability to resist the harsh cold environment, has provided for them their signature ice-formed armor coat, protecting them from physical harm. The actual process that forms these “Cold-Coats” is still unknown, though many in the scientific community believe that the combination of their body heat and their sleeping habits (sleeping buried in snow) might contribute to the formation and maintenance of the armor.
