Holidays
Candlenights (24-26 Nyx)
On the 23rd of Nyx, most cities and villages of the Greensea hold a candlelight vigil until the dead of night, and then exchange gifts and celebrate with a feast the following days. Groups of families, friends, and neighbors stand around the city, holding small candles up high in honor of the millions of lives lost during the Time of Eradication. The first night is a solemn one, spent remembering and honoring the lives that were lost protecting the world from the q’dori orcs and their armies. The following two days and nights are spent in feast, celebration, and gift giving, sharing stories of great heroes and acts of valor - even for those among the living. Offerings to Nyx, the goddess of life and death, are plentiful these nights.
