Kayo Shimomura
Shimamura Kayo was a Japanese-born alumnus of Teyvat Academy. She was the wife of the previous head of the wealthy and noble Kamisato family in Japan, Kamisato Takeshi, and the mother of the famous model, Kamisato Ayato, and Kamisato Ayaka. She is a daughter of the noble Shimamura family, who are distantly related to the family of her daughter-in-law, Yukimura Yukiko's stepmother, Nakahara Akari.

Education at Teyvat Academy
While at Teyvat Academy, Kayo was in the Inazuma Dorm and was part of the Tri-Commission - specifically a part of the sub-unit, the Yashiro Commission. While studying at the Academy and participating as a member of the varsity team for the Inazuma Dorm, she met fellow Inazuma Class student, Kamisato Takeshi, and started dating him when she was sixteen. Kayo graduated in 2007 alongside Takeshi and they married soon afterwards. Not long after their marriage, her father-in-law passed the title of head of the family down to Takeshi and she became the lady of the Kamisato family.Birth of Ayato and Ayaka
Two years after their marriage, Kayo gave birth to her and Takeshi's first child, a son called Ayato, in March 2009. A year later, she gave birth to their second child, a daughter called Ayaka, in September 2010.Marriage Arrangement with the Fujimori Family
In January 2018, Kayo was witness to her husband, Takeshi, arranging with the head of the Fujimori family, Fujimori Jun'ichi for their son, Ayato, to be married to Jun'ichi's infant daughter, Yukiko once Yukiko was nineteen. However, she, like her husband, was not permitted to see the girl until the wedding, and she, unfortunately, passed away ten years before that happened.Death
In April 2027, when Ayato was eighteen and Ayaka sixteen, Takeshi passed away from an illness, passing the title of family head to Ayato. Kayo, who had the same illness, worsened significantly after the death of her husband and passed away only a couple of months later.
