Arega Desert

The Arega Desert is a large desert in the south of Eussis, the southern limit of which is generally considered the border between Eussis and Aresra.

Name

Arega is the Varaso name: "Deserto da Arega". The word Arega itself derives from the Southern Chagic *'azaga, having to do with burning, related to the Chazhdurm "aŗtaģąha" (to raze) and Erghuz "ܐܙܓ݂" (āzgha) (a type of brush fire). In Standard Akridian, the region is called "⠗⠤⠠⠍⠒⠖⠒⠠⠉⠭⠮⠒⠧⠉⠗" (pè kľeki ʽíčnkxép), meaning "the new hive lands".
