Then (/θɛn/ or /tɛn/) is a region in Aresra.

Name

The indigenous name of the area in Then is thienkuet (天國). The name Then derives from the Xioun word for the area: 天國, pronounced [θen˥.kwo˧˥], which was often abbreviated simply to 天, [θen˥], which was borrowed into Tira Vellan as Θεν, Then. This was then borrowed into most of the other languages of Oecumene, rendered "Then" or simply "Ten" in most languages using the Vallaran alphabet, and "Тен" in those using Dvekmenu.
