General Summary

Tauflin returns to the flophouse owned by the Tavern. He was hit over the head, and kidnapped, and taken to the town of Shining by men delivering fish, but he convinces them to bring him back the next night. He meets the trio returning from their fishmonger escapades. Wren, who awoke, was confronted by two ruffians, who took the documents Brandon found from his room after beating him. Adrie and Brandon remain to tend to the wounded cook, while Kothar and Tauflin are smuggled out of town in barrels, and then proceed back to the Haunted House. There, they confront Rob, who has returned, along with some goblin allies he recruited. Tauflin charms the lead goblin, and with a spell gone awry, helps Kothar defeat Rob, who is then refashioned into a shield. The duo hole up in one of the sitting rooms, in expectation of more visitors.
