Pixie

Fey creature with wings. Many non-fey confuse them for Fairy characters, but both groups will become highly offended if not addressed correctly.
The actual differences are mainly non-physical. Both worship the same being, known as either the Pixie Queen or Fairy Queen by the different groups. Pixies have a psychic connection with the Hive Mind that can communicate language, while Fairies have a Hive Empathy that allows for the sharing of emotions but not specific words or grammar. Pixies tend to live lives like other fantasy races, having positions and economy and will openly trade with other species. Fairies tend to dress and engage as an extension of nature with regards to fashion and what usual tasks are considered as important.
Both are equally likely to become adventurers or villains.
