Sakoo
Studied tinkering under Gnome Inventor Raymond Landz.
Sakoo was an Ailuran (anthropomorphic red panda) tinker from Athlaca. She had journeyed to the Volcano Temple in hopes of studying the intricate traps and mechanics of the Archmages. When the volcano was destroyed, she was destroyed with it, but was found to be worthy as her soul entered the space that the gods could impact.
Her best friend and co-builder Echo was killed at that exact moment halfway across the world at sea, and they both simultaneously ascended as possible options for the last Athlacan god of that pantheon, which was the god of creating. The other pantheon gods tasked each with building something worthy of the gods. Sakoo built a machine that could convert godly magic into life energy, while Echo built an android mech version of her best friend Sakoo. After they had finished building, the two were revealed to each other with their inventions. Echo paid homage to another creator and was found to be more worthy.
This would have meant death for Sakoo, but Echo begged the gods to let them put the two inventions together to have Sakoo's machine give life to Echo's mech using her new god magic to give her friend a mechanical body for her soul to inhabit instead of passing on. The gods were so touched by the plea that they plucked Sakoo's soul from the River of the Dead and placed it into the mech.
