High Confessor Garios Stryxis
Garios Stryxis is the current, and longstanding head of the Brotherhood of the Waves, a vicious cult operating out of Valecina. Under his guidance, the Brotherhood has expanded steadily and become one of the dominant religious communities in Channeltown, despite the efforts of many to limit the influence of the Brotherhood. He is highly secretive spending almost no time outside his temple, and even less time interacting with those not already inducted into the Brotherhood. This has made it it much harder for his enemies to learn anything about him, and indeed, it is broadly believed that this is an expected result.
Physical Description
Body Features
High Confessor Stryxis is not an especially tall man, standing roughly one and a half meters tall. He is a slight, reedy man barely weighing more than fifty four kilograms, with a lanky frame. To any who are unaware of his nature, he seems utterly unimpressive from a phyiscal standpoint seeming to some, more like an adolescent boy than a grown man if they haven't seen his face. Garios uses this unassuming stature to great effect blending as much as possible into crowds when he is not actively carrying out the duties of his office, and preventing his enemies from finding him.
Facial Features
The High Confessor appears as an older man, who if he were actually human, would be utterly unremarkable. His planetouched, specifically Genasi heritage however provides more obvious facial traits. His skin, hair, and eyes, are all different shades of blue with facial features fairly typical of an Aeillan man. He has sharp protruding nose, and deep set eyes. His hair is generally relatively short, though if it is of any meaningful length it often flows supernaturally as if he were underwater. He generally has a full, trimmed beard. Garios' features are worn with time, with deep lines covering many parts of his face.
Apparel & Accessories
Garios, when not working in his capacity as leader of the Brotherhood of the Waves dresses very plainly. He prefers concealing clothing in natural colors in order to keep undercover. Almost everything he wears has hoods that enable him to conceal his face. When publicly serving as the High Confessor however, all that restraint and secrecy goes out the window. In public ritual he wears elaborate robes embroidered with important religious symbolism, and a crown made of coral. As High Confessor he carries a ceremonial sacrifice knife at his side at all times.

Garios is something of an enigma by design. He has deliberately shrouded almost all of his early life in mystery, and indeed continues to maintain an air of mystery about it him. He is known to be literate, which is a relatively rare skill outside of a few key areas, and it is believed he received this education at his home in Iskandris. To those who have interacted with him, he seems relatively intelligent, if incredibly arrogant. Those who have spoken with Garios also note his relative dispassion, appearing not to emote at all in conversation, and maintaining steady eye contact with few facial expressions. Despite this seeming lack of any social grace, some say he is unnaturally charming, especially those that have joined the Brotherhood. To those with a more detached mindest, this would indicate that he likely has put in the term and effort to learn magic, though there are no confirmations of this.

Motivation
High Confessor Garios Stryxis' primary, and sole public goal is the empowerment and growth of the Brotherhood the Waves. While he is no longer as publicly available as he used to be, he does still take an active part in recruiting and conversion, though usually once the potential recruits have already been drawn in by dedicated recruiters. He also is the person most likely to participate in human sacrifice ceremonies. This alone, is generally enough for most of the people who are not associated with the cult to revile Garios. Outside of this public motiviation it is unknown what person objectives he pursues. There have been some rumors of Garios consorting with powerful entities from the deep, but these have not been confirmed, and those who claim to have evidence tend to disappear quickly.
Hygiene
Garios cannot be said to be an especially careful groomer. His hair is perpetually a mess, and his beard, though generally well trimmed is still often quite messy as well. While this may in large part be attributable to his nature as a planetouched Genasi, it is at least partly to be blamed on his own personal grooming standards. His clothes, at least his non-ceremonial ones are indifferently clean. To those who have had a chance to interact with Garios closely, the High Confessor perpetually has an overwhelming odor of salt water and fish.

Religious Views
As the long serving High Confessor of the Brotherhood the Waves, Garios Stryxis' religious beliefs are relatively clear. He is a staunch and unabashed supporter of the Brotherhood. In particular, Garios has actively been in favor of stepping up the Brotherhood's activities demanding more sacrifices than either of his predecessors and, to a lesser extent taking a more militant stance against outsiders. This has meant the Brotherhood has become a menace in the city of Valecina, and thus made Garios even more paranoid, and more militant in his beliefs.
Wealth & Financial state
The state of the High Confessor's personal finances is something of a mystery. It is broadly believed that Garios' access to wealth is first and foremost tied to the wellbeing of his cult, as there have been no observable instances of Garios seeking out other sources of money. The Brotherhood of the Waves, having a large number of pirates, particularly members of the the Talons in its ranks, and as a result a lot of wealth flows into the Brotherhood. This is further evidenced by the large number of well armed guards that protect the Temple, and therefore Garios, from attack by those that are opposed to the Brotherhood's frequent human sacrifices and frequent and unusually active participating in the cruelest portions of the Slave trade.
