Session VII: Prisoner Exchange Report

The next morning, a palace guard wakes Hesior and Gash and leads them through the dimly lit palace in the first bits of daylight crept through the windows. They're lead to the courtyard, where they find Shom and Ravadi struggling to contain an argument to a low level. Gash resolves the argument by agreeing to Shom's request to join him, succeeding in deceiving him of their true intentions to defect at the exchange. Princess Ravadi returns their equipment and weapons, however Hesior, having awoken appearing to be 70 years old, remains the same. 
Ravadi then leads the two of them out of the courtyard and into the military yard, a barracks that has been steadily expanded into other parts of the palace compound in recent times. 12 Oyemörn and 6 Sacred Knights, including one dragonborn, are getting ready. Gash talks to one of the elvien Oyemörn to learn a bit about their loyalty to their commander and their thoughts of the Sovereign. After the group is assembled, Ravadi explains the plan of the exchange, only mentioning Hesior and the return of 3 captured Sacred Knights.
The exchange takes place at the western bridge. Ravadi orders most of her retinue to stay behind while she and Gash go out to meet Riven & Faolan. After confirming the exchange (angering Riven in the process as she momentarily believes Gash to have betrayed the party), Ravadi sends Gash back to get Hesior and two guards. When they return, Riven springs the trap and "captures" Ravadi, who dominates her more loyal soldier and gets them to stand down.
Back at Lëra, Riven presents to General Yusuf and Captains Hosni and Bassam the gift of Ravadi – though she quickly corrects her. Yusuf informs Riven that Imbryl will be returning with someone with flying capability, and that they should plan the siege. Riven suggests they use that use that to disable their trebuchets, and then to blow a hole in the wall. Concurrently, Yusuf will assail the Western Bridge. Ravadi suggests that she be allowed to take command of the Sorenians after their surrender, and Riven leaves the decision to General Yusuf, who agrees in the interests of a stable and peaceful end to the war. This greatly angers Captain Bassam, who has been acting hostile, leering and staring at Princess Ravadi ever since she arrived in Lëra.
