Session VIII Report

General Summary

54 Flirel, 429 PE

The party begins hammering out the siege plan. Ravadi informs them that the only magical problems will be the ancient trebuchets, and Gash adds that there are magical wards protecting the palace. The party (minus Riven) make their way into the sewers of Soren. They swim under the Western Bridge, a draw bridge that will need to be taken early in the siege if they are to move troops into the city proper. Navigating the sewers, they first turn right at the first fork, then come across a giant swarm of rats that Hesior and Gash make quick work of. After following the scent of fresh air through a cross intersection, the pipe opens into a channel and chamber with other channels, with sliding gates to control the flow of water/refuse.
They discover an entrance into the dungeons underneath the palace compound, with a hatch in the ceiling opening up into the floor of the hall containing the cell that Hesior and Gash were held prisoner in. Right, straight, left, up leads to the palace dungeon.
