Completion of the Grand Feloran Canal

Construction beginning/end

After 526 years, the Grand Feloran Canal is completed. The canal was constructed on the order of Emperor Thaelin II, in order to simplify the haphazard web of canals constructed in the previous two thousand years. Stretching from Tìl Formen’ya to Tìl Asha, the Grand Feloran Canal is about 2,500 kilometers long when counting all segments, which consist of canals, locks, rivers, and lakes. The Grand Feloran Canal would go on to form the backbone of the canal network in the Feloran Empire and its successor states.

Controversially, this project relied on much of it's force coming from Orc Slaves, an injustice perpretrated by the Feloran Empire for much of it's early history. It's construction was halted for 150 years during the 2nd bloodiest of the four wars fought between the Empires of Felora and the Vöth.
