Military action
The first continental expansion of the Felorans began when Leswena Mirenelis IV (r. 380 RE – 4124 EIE)launched a surprise attack against the southernmost villages of the Formen people. The forest dwelling people, including the Sèl, Tharo, and Uigh'an are disunited and fractured, making them unable to band together to defend their homeland from the more organised and skilled Soren'ai and Lumor'ai. The conquest would take 121 years to complete.
The conquest took place gradually, taking over 120 years, and it's most bloody points were the beginning and end, in the first surprise raids and in the final routing of communities deep in the cloud forests of the Dotharan Mountains that resisted paying tribute and swearing fealty to the Steward. Lesewna IV took great advantage of the multiple Formen factions, and would make and break pacts throughout the expansion. Many communities were peacefully integrated, their sources of authority willingly swearing allegiance to the Crown Princess in order to benefit from his protections as their Steward. A strong believer in the power of the pre-Ekoran Feloran gods of conquest and plenty, Leswena sought to emulate the great personal projects of his ancestors by expanding the realm of the Stewardship.
