The Northern Invasions

Military action

A series of military campaigns and expeditions by the Feloran Empire, where for over 200 years the Empire sought hegemony across the Tealastrian in Southwest Galisea and Leandris.

Commencing with the founding of the City of Turel in what is now the Khedivite of Qua'adar, the Northern Invasions were a centuries long series of miitary campaigns by the Felorans aimed at conquering the entirety of the Northern Continent. With five distinct periods of activity, the invasions and the subsequent provinces established dominated Tealastrian history and shaped the modern era.   Over the next 200 years, the Feloran Empire would expand their Northern holdings to include coastal parts of Qua’adar, Hesjan, Aeilla, Suran, Gallaca, and Merida, building canals and other Feloran infrastructure in many locations. The Felorans did well for 150 years, even establishing control over inland portions of Qua'adar, but the last expeditions over extended the Empire as it tried fruitlessly to pacify the Aeillan Empire's inland holdings.   Eventually, political turmoil at home, rebellions in other northern provinces, and underestimating the might of Aeillan holdouts lead to a rapid collapse of the Empire's northern provinces. Unfortunately, in the chaos of the retreat to Felora, thousands were lost either at sea or in fighting to retreat. The Empire collapsed as its southern provinces scrambled to provide for their own protection.
