Abolition of the Argentinisch Throne

Revolution

1252

After years of war, mounting food shortages, brutal working conditions for most forms of labour, and ever-increasing brutal rule, Volgier silver miners refused to enter the mines and sparked a Kingdom-wide fervour. This culminated in the execution of King Joannes II and the exiling or arrest of the Volgier nobility.

Although the moment was sudden, Volgier revolutionary thought had been bubbling underneath the surface for some time. The Volgenreik, the system of which Volgier Kings based their legitimacy, was an absolute one, with the Patriarch of the Volgiers being unquestioned in their rule as representatives of the divine.
