Sir Darius Dune

Darius Dune is an immigrant to Ghemjana. He found his way to the world by way of the Shadowfell. He was injured, barely alive and grasping his amulet of Bahamut. A friendly cleric of the Dragon God recognized this and nursed him to health. Darius lived with the priest for a year before setting off into the new world he found himself in. Eventually he found himself at Tal Valor, leading a rebellion against its ruler, the Lich Queen. He slew the undead tyrant in single combat and was unanimously declared the new tyrant of Tal Valor. Darius immediately went to work trying to improve the lives of his citizens in the harsh and dangerous desert of the Burning Sea. Though well liked by the general populace and army, the Guilds find him an obstacle to their power and control.

General Physical Condition

An impressive specimen of Dragonborn, Darius is a tall male with bright golden scales, a broad chest and well muscled build.

Darius is a paladin, and has access to spells and healing abilities from his god

Darius prefers military garb and armor over soft clothes and silks. Even at political dinners and events, he will at least wear a breastplate of not full armor.

Personal history

Darius went through a transformation in his earlier years. Though he does not often speak of it, his scars all over his body attest to a warrior's life. He claims to seek peace now, and while he is loathe to seek violence, he still weilds a long sword. He despises slavery and has outlawed its practice within his city, much to the annoyance of the Guilds.

Accomplishments & Achievements

• Defeated the Lich Queen of Tal Valor
• Eradicated slavery in his region
• Formulated the first volunteer professional military on Hestoria 
• Built a successful irrigation system for Tal Valor
• Founded six temples and two schools in Tal Valor
• Defeated the Yuan Ti tribe of the Riverlands during the Snake Wars, freeing 600 slaves and prisoners

Darius Dune always sleeps armed, claiming it's when you're asleep that they come for you.

Morality & Philosophy

Darius subscribes to a philosophy that anyone can change and only need be given a chance to. This does not mean that they will change, or want to change, but simply that all people can change.  He believes redemption is possible, even noble, and that all creatures deserve at least a chance at bettering their lives.
