Construction beginning/end
The year the calendars begin from, when the first stone was laid of the great city, Telcoviel.
Construction began on the circular city of Telcoviel. Funded by several mage guilds and aided in construction by the Troll Warlord, Runder McCormac, the city walls were built in the span of 10 months. A perfect circle, the walls are broken up into 12 sections by large, irregular black granite slabs that act as watch faces for the city. The city sits on a large plain, with fields and farms surrounding the city for 50 miles. This exclusion zone is granted to the city as their property, to sustain the population of several hundred thousand people that live there. In the very center of the city, a soaring tower was raised up, polished to a shine; the Halls of Wisdom. In here, the mages gathered to discuss important matters of philosophy, civics, agriculture, magic, and anything else they wished to study. This was to be a place of learning and teaching. It would stand for over 1100 years.
